If you go into labor before my on-call time of 38 weeks, call me anyway. Although our agreement does not obligate me to come to your birth, if I am available, I will come. If I am not, I will do everything I can to call in an equally trained and skilled backup.

Once I arrive, I stay for the remainder of the labor, delivery, and up to 1-2 hours after birth. *Some hospitals have a support persons policy due to COVID-19 that require additional support persons/doulas to leave immediately.

If I miss the birth due to emergency or causes beyond my control like a quick delivery, or not being notified in time, but arrive within 30 minutes after the birth, I will stay to provide the service we have agreed on, and our agreement will remain in-tact. If I am unable to make it to the birth at all, due to emergency, current hospital restrictions, or other causes beyond my control, every attempt will be made to schedule a replacement Fresh 48 session or another session of your choosing and you will only be held responsible for the full fee of the replacement session.

Currently, I do not offer prints. You will receive digital files to have printed with whomever you choose. I recommend Tempe Camera Imaging.

Thankfully, most hospitals in the valley have opened their L&D rooms to certified doulas. If you are not sure what your hospital's policy is, check online with your chosen hospital, or call.

For anything greater than a 20 mile radius of my home, a $20 travel fee will be added to your booking.

If I am providing doula services, keep me updated with any pregnancy changes that you may experience and I will come when you feel you need me. If I am serving you in a documentation capacity, call me when you are admitted to the hospital or birthing center, or whenever you call your midwife for a home birth. You can also ask your doula for her suggestion on when to call me if you're not sure. I will keep in contact with you throughout the months and weeks before your due date so it shouldn't come as a surprise. When in doubt, calling sooner is better than later.
