About me

Maternal–infant health professional with extensive experience supporting families across the prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum continuum of care. I bring a service-oriented, patient-centered approach grounded in evidence-based lactation care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and culturally responsive support. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Interdisciplinary Doula with hands-on experience in inpatient hospital settings, community-based programs, and private practice. My work has included high-acuity inpatient lactation support, home-based maternal–infant care coordination, peer counseling, and program development serving diverse and Medicaid-insured populations. Throughout my career, I have partnered closely with nurses, midwives, physicians, and community organizations to improve breastfeeding outcomes, strengthen continuity of care, and expand access to maternal health resources. I am highly skilled in client education, crisis-sensitive communication, documentation, data tracking, and managing complex caseloads while maintaining compassion and accuracy. In addition to direct care, I have experience in advocacy and systems-level work, including Medicaid reform initiatives, doula workforce development, volunteer training, and curriculum creation. I am comfortable operating in both clinical and non-clinical environments and bring strong organizational, technical, and communication skills to every role. I am currently pursuing my Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN, RN) while continuing to advance my work in maternal–infant health. I am passionate about improving care delivery, strengthening health equity, and supporting families during one of the most critical periods of their lives.

Job well done Taylor. The support you provided relieved the anxiety and provided a calm environment. The experience included breathing exercises, smooth music, prayers, laughter, snoring, and peace. I will support the growth of your business through referrals and maybe another child lol.

I strongly recommend choosing Nourish Our Seeds for Lactation help. I expressed my concerns with my daughter’s weight and she immediately scheduled me an in-person appointment. At the appointment she did a screening and a thorough mouth examination. She quickly discovered that my daughter had a weak latch due to a tongue tie. After that appointment she followed up with me 2 more times and helped me get more comfortable with breastfeeding. She taught me what to pay attention to when breastfeeding so that my daughter is getting enough milk from my breast. She went over how much milk my daughter would be getting a day and per hour so that she can get the proper weight gain. She taught me the difference between different breast pumps and also went over how to properly use a breast pump. This help has made me extend my breastfeeding journey by a lot. I was going to give up at first but with the help and knowledge of Taylor, she gave me hope and confidence to push forward and nurse my daughter up until 1 years old.

Taylor provided insightful prenatal meetings. We discussed pain management and laboring positions prior to going in for delivery. At the time of delivery, she supported my birth through breathing techniques and verbal cues to maintain my mindset and pain management. When a doctor was going against my birth plan, she caught it and we were able to rectify it before it was an issue. After I delivered my baby she sent pictures and videos that we wouldn’t have been able to acquire otherwise. In the days following the birth she followed up and provided emotional support. She helped make this a more positive experience. I would recommend her to anyone.

I served as a back up doula with Taylor for my first live birth. Taylor prepared me and mom as best as she could with presentations, live demos and real life birthing experiences. We even dehydrated and encapsulated the placenta for mom. One thing that really sticks out about Taylor is her incredible ability to exceed the status quo and her devotion to the whole birthing and lactation experience with all the credentials and experience she has to serve marginalized women of color. She’s amazing.

Nourish Our Seeds— I'm unsure where to begin with this experience. Taylor, the owner’s passion for birth work, is admirable. She's patient and takes her time to use approaches that directly cater to your needs. There were also flexible payment options available to us. I recall having some issues during my pregnancy, and she took time from her day to meet with me to grab up some things needed in helping to mitigate the problem. I must say, after using the suggested products, it HELPED A LOT! My Labor & Birth- there's so much I can review, but I will say she's timely and offered her expertise in getting me through my first natural labor. With the help of this small business, we welcomed our sweet baby girl on 05/31/23. Almost one year later, there is no doubt I'd hire them all over again. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Taylor was a great source of support, coming to my aid within hours of requesting her services. She even came out on a Sunday! She is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and understanding of a mother's various challenges in those first few days after birth. Thanks to her support a potentially long term issue she identified was confirmed by doctors allowing early intervention to be provided, and putting us back on the path to breast feeding success. I highly recommend her services!
