Good Evening Everyone, my name is Uheina Tonga. I am a certified postpartum doula, and an infant specialist/night nanny. I grew up in the Bay Area, and specifically San Mateo, but I live in Brisbane now. I have been an infant specialist/ night nanny for 20 years, and before I raised five children of my own. My favorite thing about caring for the newborn is when they come home from the hospital, and I am ready to care for them while mom is trying to get some rest. This gives me a sense of great accomplishment when I can able to earn your trust and help you get the rest you need each night. I have cared for over 100 babies in the course of 20 years. I've gained many experiences in caring for babies, but different and unique in their own way. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether its going on a trip to the coast, or making dinner together, or just hanging around and play board games. It is creating memories and it is sort of the same way when I come into your home and care for the baby. It is a beginning of creating memories for baby and your family!
Bachelor in Science (2003)
I need to take the training because I did it on line, but I can't find my certificate (2008)
English
I am a night nanny, or newborn care specialist. I care for your baby when you come home from the hospital while you get your rest. You might want to pump your milk, and I'll feed baby while try to get your sleep. I change the baby diaper, burp, and put baby to sleep, clean the milk bottles, and put in a load of laundry if you liked. Usually feed baby every 2-5 - 3 hours, it's up to you, but I usually suggest it unless the baby wakes up earlier and she/he is hungry.
