I have experience with home birth, birth center, hospital births(unmedicated, medicated, cesarean, inductions), as well as twin mamas. I am a trained birth and postpartum doula with a plethora of education including holistic health in pregnancy, nutrition, birth, breastfeeding, and all things postpartum. I’m here to help empower you to do everything you can to set yourself up for your dream birth, and also how to prepare for any outcome , mentally and physically. She majored in Early Childhood Education and has had over 10 years of experience in the Childcare/Education Realm. Roles she's held include: daycare attendant, teacher's assistant, teacher, babysitter, nanny, and mother's helper. Each one has taught her how to continue providing compassionate care for children and how to be an effective member of the family's village (care team). Jem is a certified Mental Health First Aider and her work focuses in supporting Maternal Mental Health. The postpartum support Jem provides in her work includes wraparound wellness services for physical and emotional support anchored in celebrating mamas in their new role. As a postpartum doula, I can bring a lot of love to your new family and try to ease the burden that new parents inevitably feel. I have been for almost 10 years caring for toddlers, babies and school-aged children. I pride myself on being loving, warm, trustworthy, loyal, empathetic and communicative person. Back home, in Brazil, I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and two MBAs in accounting and finance, but I have found myself once again working with newborns and babies here in the United States. Hi! I'm Kim. I'm a mom of two and I've been supporting families in the central valley and beyond since 2018. I began this journey as a postpartum doula and eventually realized my passion was helping families reach their lactation and feeding goals. As a lactation consultant I can assist with prenatal education, all things breastfeeding and pumping related including flange fitting. I can help with latching, positioning and all sorts of breastfeeding challenges including nipple pain, engorgement, milk supply and introducing bottles and returning to work.
