About me

My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. If you are interested or just want to connect and talk anything birth, postpartum or baby please feel free to reach out. I am located in San Francisco and I am extending my services throughout the surrounding Bay Area. Virtual Options Also Provided

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Rebecca. From pregnancy through postpartum, she was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our birth experience. Her prenatal care was incredible. She made me and my husband feel prepared, supported, and confident going into labor, and took the time to really understand the birth experience I was hoping for. By the time labor started, I felt like I had someone by my side who knew exactly what I needed and how to support me. During my natural labor, Rebecca was genuinely an angel on earth. She somehow anticipated what I needed before I even knew I needed it—keeping me fed and hydrated, helping me through every contraction, and providing the most incredible comfort measures throughout labor. She was calm, grounding, encouraging, and completely present. I genuinely don’t know how I would have done it without her. And her care didn’t stop after the birth. She was just as wonderful postpartum, supporting me through such a tender and overwhelming transition into motherhood. One of the most meaningful parts of the entire experience was the closing of the bones ceremony she held for me. I was so incredibly touched by the care, intention, and thoughtfulness she put into honoring me and my transition into motherhood. It’s something I will remember forever. Rebecca is truly exceptional at what she does. Being a doula isn’t just a job for her it’s a calling. She made me feel cared for as a whole person and I will forever be grateful that she was part of such an important chapter of our lives. I would recommend her a million times over.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience having Rebecca as our postpartum night doula! Rebecca took care of our infant daughter at night for the first 8 weeks of her life, giving us the much-needed time to rest and recover, and helping us learn to be new parents! We are so incredibly appreciative of her nurturing and non-judgmental approach, her gentle guidance, and her warm professionalism. Rebecca made it possible for my husband to sleep through the nights, and greatly increased the amount of sleep I got as a breastfeeding mom by handling all nighttime duties besides actual feeds. We felt it was one of the best investments we could have made in our marriage and new life as a family of 3. We trusted Rebecca completely with our daughter and felt that Rebecca not only cared for our daughter's well-being but also about our own. We came out of our time with Rebecca feeling (relatively!) well-rested and much more confident about our ability to handle newborn sleep.

My family was extremely fortunate to have Rebecca as an overnight Doula for our infant daughter in her first month. Rebecca brings an extremely calming energy and comes with so much wisdom and compassion. There was never a doubt that our daughter was in experienced and kind hands. She was also able to bring a lot of knowledge that helped us better understand our daughter and gain confidence in these early days as first time parents. I also really appreciated how she was constantly reminding us to give ourselves grace. Rebecca is an excellent partner and any parents would be lucky to have to have her provide care.

I feel so lucky to have found Rebecca. From pregnancy through labor, delivery, and postpartum, she was an incredible source of support. She was always responsive, thoughtful, and available whenever I needed guidance or reassurance. I had a long labor and a natural birth, and she made the entire experience so much more manageable. From keeping me hydrated and comfortable to providing encouragement every step of the way, her presence was invaluable. My husband was also so grateful to have her by our side. Even my doctor commented on what an amazing job she did and how wonderful she was throughout the process. Her care didn’t stop after delivery. She continued checking in on me postpartum, and we did a Closing of the Body ceremony that was incredibly meaningful and helped me feel supported both mentally and physically during my recovery. She is truly compassionate and caring. She even captured beautiful photos of some of our most special moments, giving us memories we’ll cherish forever. I cannot recommend her highly enough and will always be grateful that she was part of our journey into parenthood. ❤️

Rebecca supported us a night doula with our newborn from 1 week old to 5 weeks old. From our first intro call, we were immediately at ease by her caring, present energy. As first-time parents, I couldn’t recommend her more as someone who is going to give your baby loads of care, nurture, and experience. We jokingly called Rebecca the Navy Seal of newborn care because she was so skilled at soothing and attuning to our little one — we’d stay up part of the evenings just to learn from her techniques, and we feel so fortunate that our whole family could be supported by her in the early weeks. We would be thrilled to work with her again if we have a second :)

Rebecca is an incredible doula and my husband and I repeatedly told each other we don’t know what we would have done without her! We had a birth center birth planned that needed to pivot to the hospital last minute. Becca showed up and made the room peaceful, she provided so many tools to get me through challenging moments and advocate for myself. I left my birth feeling so grateful and empowered, on top of getting to hold my sweet baby boy safe in my arms! She was there for such an important moment in life. During my son’s birth and even in the meetings leading up to it, it became so clear that this is her passion. I called her multiple times all times of day and night with questions and she was always there and so helpful. She really eased my anxiety through pregnancy and birth. I don’t know what we would have done without her. Highly highly recommend!

After my second was born, I had Rebecca as my night doula for 7 weeks and I can’t recommend her enough! I appreciated her compassion, attentive listening, and helpful tips on everything from breastfeeding to cradle cap. She really took care of me and the baby so I could rest and recover during that delicate postpartum period - providing me with encouragement and nourishment, and enabling me to appreciate the newborn phase!

I feel so fortunate to have had Becca as our birth doula for our first child. Becca is knowledgeable, caring, non judgmental, and supportive. Ahead of birth she helped educate us about labor/ delivery so we could make informed decisions about our birth preferences, gave us strategies to manage pregnancy and labor pains, and supported our emotional journey. I gave birth in the hospital with minimal intervention (no epidural) and Becca was there by my side the entire time providing counter-pressure to help alleviate my pain and helping position me to help the baby move down. She worked seamlessly with the hospital staff. After our baby’s birth Becca checked in regularly to see how I was healing and how baby was doing, provided tips and resources, and brought us nourishing food. I’m so happy we had Becca to guide us through the birth journey.

Becca worked with me and my husband as a doula prior to and during the delivery of our first child. I had numerous medical complications and always knew that I would be giving birth in a hospital and that significant interventions might be medically necessary, so for me, working with a birth doula stemmed from a desire to have someone help me work through those decisions that were mine to make during labor. Becca was a calm, loving and respectful presence throughout, and someone my provider, the nurses and especially my husband also appreciated having in the room. Becca also work with us overnight a few nights a week for the first 3 months of our son's life, and she was invaluable in helping us set up sustainable rhythms for our family. We recommend Becca without reservation in both capacities.
