I am a 40 year old, pregnant for the first time. Other than my “advanced age” I’m otherwise very healthy. Normal BMI, active, no preconditions. I would like to have a relaxed, minimally medicalized, minimally invasive birth but due to my age, I fear that will be not respected. I am also limited by my insurance to deliver at Yale New Haven Hospital. I would like to have someone who’s an advocate for me, and someone consistent to support me throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. (My current OB doesn’t deliver, which means it’ll happen w whoever is on call). I’m not sure of my budget, as I don’t know what is typical, but I am a postdoc w a fixed income. I will also likely have to take unpaid leave after birth.

I plan to give birth at Yale New Haven hospital. I’m looking to pay with insurance.

I am looking to have a hospital birth, but with as little intervention as possible. I want to be unmedicated, ability to labor and deliver on my side or all fours, I want to delay the cord cutting, no fundal massage, no cervical checks,, and I want to be able to retain my placenta. I believe a birth via OB would stop me from this.

Hi , I’m Marissa. I’m 25 years old and I’m due October 24th 2026. My husband and I are having a baby girl. I am interested having a doula through my Medicaid Insurance. I just really need the basics of just an extra advocate to be there in the hospital. I think it’s the smartest decision to have someone else besides my husband advocating for me if hospital gives me push back. I am planning to do an unmedicated birth , with free moving and switching positions. I believe if you are stressed and only allowed to be just on your back it doesn’t promote a smooth delivery. I really want to stick with my beliefs unless it’s a serious emergency . I want the experience to be as natural as possible unless it’s urgent.

I plan on giving birth in the Stony brook hospital! I have a midwife set up. My budget is $500 . Funds are super tight. I unfortunately only work one day a week. It's not easy to work at this point for me. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Due June 9 2026. I have struggling to find a doula I've been trying for months under my insurance with no luck. I don't have support to help me with funds so that's why I'm tight right now.

Id prefer home birth but im still trying to connect with and hire a midwife... I have Husky A pregnancy insurance. But i really dont want a medicated birth. Id like to be able to listen to and respect my body during my laboring process. Id really like to have a doula that supports me and my physiology.

This will be mine and my husband’s first child. We are looking for in person sessions to discuss my birth plan, mental preparation and postpartum care.

Stamford/Norwalk area is the anticipated delivery area I have husky so looking for someone who is covered by them. Additionally willing to discuss payment options for additional services outside of husky My birth plan is to deliver naturally the vaginal route and leave the hospital healthy and with healthy babies.
