Hello, my name is Michi Arguedas and I am a certified full spectrum doula and traditional postpartum healing practitioner. I offer prenatal education, labor & birth support, post birth/ post loss healing care, and virtual consulting services. I seek to foster a safe and welcoming environment for our future generations and for the birthing people and families helping to cultivate new life. As a birthing person, you carry the instinctual wisdom and ability to have an empowering and healing birth and postpartum experience, and I am here to contribute grounding, consistent, and nurturing care that supports you in that process. I specialize in (but am not limited to) supporting families who identify as queer, trans, multi-cultural, mixed-race, immigrant, single parent, and/or polyamorous.

I am a 25 year old mother of two, and my journey into becoming a doula is deeply rooted in my own birth experiences. I’ve had both a hospital birth and two unassisted, natural home births, which gave me a well-rounded perspective on how powerful and capable women are when they feel supported, safe, and heard. During my first birth in a hospital setting, I found myself having to advocate strongly for my own choices, which opened my eyes to how essential it is for mothers to have someone in their corner. What led me to this work is my belief that mothers deserve to be at the center of their birth experience. While the focus often shifts to the baby, a mother’s physical, emotional, and mental well being is just as important especially during and after delivery. Birth environments, particularly hospitals, can sometimes feel chaotic or overwhelming, but with the right support and advocacy, they can also be calm, respectful, and empowering spaces. I understand that while many women desire home births, not all have that option, especially in higher risk situations. As a doula, my role is to help create a peaceful, supportive atmosphere wherever birth takes place, while ensuring that each mother’s voice is heard, respected, and honored throughout her journey.

Greetings all, I am Aldeisha Smith, a Birth and Postpartum Doula residing in Northern California. The many layers of conceiving, pregnancy, and birth are astounding and ever evolving. As a proprietor of knowledge, I always find myself looking for new things to learn to teach. With a solid background in Biology and Biological Research, I know that birth has many unanswered questions and uniqueness; all starting with a thought. I am here to assist families with finding the answers to their questions with peace and love at the center. Providing an environment to spark interest in researching and affirming oneself for the best outcomes. My practice creates an engaging atmosphere for the whole family to seek informational and emotional support. Hi, I’m Alyssa! I’m a BADT Certified Full Spectrum Doula providing compassionate birth and postpartum support. My goal is to help you feel heard, respected, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout your journey. I believe this is your body, your baby, and your experience. I’m here to support your choices, help you understand your options, advocate for your voice, and create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you and your family. I welcome private-pay clients and also work with Blooming Families Doula Services, where eligible families may be able to use insurance. If you choose the insurance route, you’ll complete an intake with Blooming Families and can request me as your doula—or choose another doula if they feel like a better fit. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident knowing you have someone who truly cares in your corner.
