15 weeks along. Looking for a midwife to help me through my first birth. Wanting a home birth.

I'm planning to have a home birth this is my first home birth, my fourth child. My estimate budget would be 700 Upfront.

Due December 15th with my first baby. Low risk pregnancy. Currently 30 weeks. Looking for a certified midwife to support a home birth. Birth plan to include delayed cord clamping, potentially water birth, avoiding induced labor and any unnecessary intervention

Desiring a home birth. Would be open to water birth. I am Christian and would ideally like someone who shares similar faith beliefs. I am also a RN. Had precipitous birth with my 2nd no complications.

Looking into giving a Home water birth I need a midwife and doula to help me with the process this is my third vaginal child

I'm planning my second birth and likely final birth. I've been drawn to home birth but was too fearful the first time around. If I'll never get to do this again, I want the opportunity to experience a peace filled birth. The birth of my son was A LOT - I wanted zero interventions and I ended up with an epidural and pitocin. The midwife who actually delivered baby didn't have me change position once (which previous providers on staff did - which seemed helpful). The cord was around babys neck so every time he went in and out of the birth canal, he lost circulation. After he came out, they cut his cord immediately and took him away - again, not what I wanted for either of us. I 'spiked a fever' during labor (I didn't...), so they made me and baby stay in the hospital for 5 days of antibiotics and observation - luckily, both of our IV's got accidentally ripped out by the provider after the first dose and we refused the remaining doses - we just stayed for observation. It was miserable. I was up for almost 5 days straight because I couldn't sleep with my baby next to me and I didn't produce milk because I was so stressed. I want a positive birth experience. It's going to take some convincing to get my partner on board, but I don't want to regret this forever. I'd like to give birth at home. I'm 22wks along, so need to make a decision now. I'm open to discussing budget. I have a provider at Henry Ford Hospital - so I've had labs and ultrasounds done and can continue. Baby is healthy and thriving - so am I. I am seeking a licensed midwife for a planned home birth. I am looking for someone who supports a holistic, spiritual, and low-intervention approach to birth while maintaining safety for both me and my baby. I would like my birth experience to include prayer, affirmations, freedom of movement during labor, natural comfort measures, and a calm, peaceful environment. I want a provider who views birth as a natural process, respects informed decision-making, and is comfortable incorporating my spiritual beliefs into my care. I am interested in prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum follow-up, and breastfeeding guidance. I am hoping to build a trusting relationship with my midwife and create a birth experience that feels empowering, safe, and sacred for my family.
