This my first baby. I would like to birth at home and in case of emergency help with a transfer to the local hospital and be present for the birth. I have a full birth plan that intend on discussing with my midwife but that's the basics of it. Preferably I'd love a midwife that's holistic and medically trained. I would love if they took insurance but if not my budget is $3,500. If a payment plan is available I would love that. I am currently 10 weeks along with no complications so far.

I'm arranging this as a gift for my bestfriend who is having a baby (she’s actually in labor right now..), so I'll be the one booking and paying, and you'd be working with her. What I'm hoping to find: a session in her own home where she can be cared for without leaving the house or arranging childcare, with her baby right there with her. I've seen postpartum massage combined with things like Closing of the Bones, belly binding and warming rituals, and that's the kind of care I have in mind. Could you tell me what you offer, what a session looks like, and what it would cost including the drive? One more thing worth mentioning: I live abroad, so communication with me would be by email or message, and we'd arrange the actual timing directly with her.

Second baby, highly medicalized labor and delivery with my first, hoping for a natural labor and delivery with my second but am in need of someone who can help guide my labor by suggesting positions, advocating for me, and helping me achieve a more natural birth experience.

I’m planning on an unmedicated birth at Mercy Folsom in Folsom, CA. This is my first baby. I’ve been doing prenatal yoga, read books on unmedicated/home births, and my sister had her baby at home; but would love to have hands-on guidance from a doula and emotional and physical support during our birth. My husband is on board for helping however he can but will certainly need guidance as well. I’m comfortable self-advocating but would love to have someone with experience to consult with and lean on when questions and options come up during labor. We also recently discovered I have an accessory placenta which might need to be manually removed if it doesn’t come out with the main placenta. I would like to talk about options with that as well. My budget is no more than $2000 but ideally closer to $1500.
