I am hoping to labor at home as long as possible and then will either transfer to a birthing center or hospital. I currently have a midwife through Adriatica Women’s Health. I am unsure on a specific budget. I am really trying to get an idea of what my options are. I plan to do an unmedicated natural birth.

Plan to give birth at fort worth birthing and wellness center. Our estimated budget is very low which is why i am looking for one covered by medicaid. Birth plan i want to be as unmedicated as possible, focusing on pain management techniques that are not medicated. I have Texas star medicaid but have not picked a plan yet. (cooks childrens, wellpoint, or aetna)

Postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to help mom during the day, both direct newborn care and auxillary household support. Feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing, nap time, baby laundry, baby dishes. Three days a week. CPR, first aid certified. Experienced with newborn care. $25 to $30 an hour.

Plan to give birth at a hospital…this is my first kid so i don’t know how much to expect in pricing. I want to go as natural as possible no epidural I don’t want to be induced unless really need too. I will be giving birth at Baylor All saints in Fort Worth. Not sure about a budget yet I just want the best support. My first couple pregnancies were rough. I am a first time mother looking for support on what to expect before/during/after delivery. I plan to deliver at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, where I actually work as a nurse. This is also my boyfriend’s first child and I want him to feel supported and know how to support me too. Ideally, we would want vaginal delivery but I am diabetic and know that babies may be larger, so I am not entirely against a c-section if that is the safest option. I do plan on having an epidural regardless but would like to incorporate other pain relief methods. I would like to create a calm environment in the delivery room. I also plan to breast feed post-birth.

I came across your profile and wanted to reach out because I'm currently looking for a birth doula. I wanted to see if you participate in the TRICARE Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration. From my understanding, TRICARE covers up to 6 hours of antepartum and/or postpartum doula visits (which can be divided into 15-minute increments however we'd like), along with one continuous labor support visit during the birth. I also understand that, to be eligible for TRICARE coverage, doulas must be certified through one of TRICARE's approved certifying organizations (such as DONA International) and have an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) for billing. Are you certified through a TRICARE-approved organization and do you have an active NPI? If so, I'd love to learn more about your services, your availability around my October due date, what your birth support includes, and how the TRICARE billing process works. Since this is our first baby, I'm hoping to find a calm, supportive doula who has experience working with first-time moms and who works well alongside my husband, as he'll be my primary support person during labor.
