Breast feeding was very hard with my first, I am hoping for some guidance the second time around for an easier transition. 5. I had to have a c-section after 14hrs of active labour… With a failed epidural after 3 attempts. The epidural was left in, so I wasn’t able to move around which made the pain very intense. I am hoping to have a VBAC this time, but would like someone in my corner to help with the process so my husband can focus on me and not the medical aspects.

I’m having Twins and really would like somebody in indigenous to help me navigate my cultural beliefs I’d love to have a water birth, but it seems like nobody does that here in Chilliwack for twins

( my due day is mid April ) Since I'm going the private pay and my pregnancy is progressing well, my doctor suggested that I look for a midwife. Home birth is what I’m going for, second baby that I’m having, did an all natural birth previously. It’s important to me that my options are my own when deciding what’s best for me and my baby. Need to be in network with Molina or apple healthcare insurance.

Planning to give birth at the Cowichan Hospital. Hoping to have a midwife and doula and to have unmedicated birth

I want a home birth if at all possible. My circumstances are a bit different. My husband is in the Navy and will be leaving in about a month. I need either a midwife for a hone birth, or at least to have it in a peaceful environment. That is mostly-to-all the way covered through my insurance. (TRICARE) If my husband is still underway or unable to make it back for the birth for some reason, I do have family I can have with me. They live a few hours away, but I do plan, at this time, to have the birth here, near Marysville/Everett. So they wouod come up here to help me if needed.

I’m excited to share that my pregnancy journey has begun! My last menstrual period started on February 3, 2025, which means I’m currently about 5 weeks along. So far, I’ve experienced only a few early signs—mainly just sore breasts—without any nausea or fatigue. I know that every pregnancy is unique, and I’m embracing these early changes with optimism and curiosity. I have an appointment with my doctor this Thursday, where I’ll be discussing my prenatal care and next steps in ensuring a healthy journey for me and my baby. In addition, I’m exploring midwifery options in my area. I value personalized care and am particularly interested in a hospital or birth center setting, as I’m not considering a home birth. My research has led me to some wonderful local resources in the Duncan area, such as the Cowichan Maternity Clinic and the Cowichan Midwifery Collective. I’ve heard excellent things about the supportive, midwife-led care they offer, and I’m eager to connect with a midwife who aligns with my vision for a positive and empowered birth experience. I look forward to embracing every step of this transformative journey, learning more along the way, and building a care team that supports both my needs and my hopes for the future.

I am interested in a midwife who can help me have an at home water birth.

I am planning to give birth at home, desiring a calm, no-stress experience where we pray and invite the Holy Spirit to lead the experience. Ideally, we would prefer it to be as low-cost as possible but would not mind it if we had to pay more due to unforeseen circumstances or whatnot. I would like to labor and give birth in our bathtub, with a midwife, doula, my partner, and anyone else that needs to be on the birth team. It will be unmedicated.
