About Alexis
Hi, My name is Alexis DeWindt, also known as TheButterflyDoula, I'm a full spectrum doula also an educator who is passionate about protecting, nurturing, and advocating for BIPOC women during the vulnerable state of giving birth. After experiencing the loss of my mother, I realized the preciousness of life and aim to create an environment of ease and confidence for mothers during labor and delivery. I also prepare my clients for the postpartum phase and help to navigate the medical industry to ensure their needs are heard and met. My goal is to emphasize the sacredness of parenthood for all types of families and educate the ВІРОС community on their birth rights, promoting respect, honesty, and freedom for all.

Termination Doula Support
Support around abortion can look like a variety of things: being an advocate for choice and access being a sounding board for someone considering terminating a pregnancy. AFTER CARE SHORT-TERM plan on resting right after procedure (1/3 days) Provide pads for bleeding LONG-TERM (2/4 days)
Miscarriage / Loss Doula Support
A miscarriage can have a profound emotional impact on you and on your partner, friends and family. A miscarriage can be very upsetting, and you and your partner may need counselling or support. You may also have questions about trying for another baby and what happens to the miscarried fetus. Advice and support are available during this difficult time. *PRICE IS PER SESSION *
