About me

Hello! I am a DONA International certified postpartum doula who has lived in Colorado since 2010. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Health Education, as well as a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have extensive experience supporting, educating, and nurturing families in different childcare capacities for the last 16 years. I have a penchant for postpartum and newborn care and am passionate about supporting families as they transition into parenthood being it with their firstborn or fourth! I always strive to meet families' needs with ease, flexibility, and warmth. On top of newborn and postpartum support I also can help as a Sibling Doula with older sibling childcare while parents welcome their newest additions to their family. My own experiences with pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss and motherhood are what inspired me to embark on the journey of supporting others navigating their perinatal experience. I have trained with and am a member of The Institute of Birth, Breath and Death and can provide trauma informed bereavement and loss support. Holding space for others who are walking the path of grief during the most sensitive times is a skill that I hold dear to my heart. For my own wellness I love doing yoga, camping in our popup with my family, escaping to the beach, baking, and you can always find me curled up in a good book. I look forward to learning more about your family's needs!

Alyssa is absolutely amazing! Her kindness and warmth immediately put me at ease, and her expertise with babies made me feel so secure and comfortable, whether during daytime hours or overnight shifts. Beyond being incredibly reliable in general, she has a remarkable ability to "take charge" the moment she walks through the door, and instinctively jumps in to handle things without me needing to ask. On top of all that, she even helped with meal prep and cooking, and the results were always so delicious--having homemade meals during a time when I was physically unable to cook was such a gift. Her support just exceeded my expectations and hopes in every way possible. All in all, I can’t recommend Alyssa highly enough. She was an absolute lifesaver during a crucial time, and helped make it both less stressful and more joyful!

Alyssa was an absolute gift to our family during the early weeks with our newborn. As first-time parents, we were navigating a completely new world with sleep deprivation and the steep learning curve that comes with caring for a newborn. Alyssa brought a calm, grounded presence into our home that immediately put us at ease. As a new mom, it can feel incredibly vulnerable to trust someone new with your baby but with Alyssa that trust came right away. From the very beginning, I felt completely comfortable with her caring for our baby and she’s exactly the kind of person you want by your side during those vulnerable early weeks. What stood out most was her demeanor. She has the biggest heart and a steady, warm, and reassuring presence. In addition to gifting us with more hours of sleep and rest, she taught us helpful soothing techniques, feeding support, and practical newborn care. If you’re looking for a postpartum doula who is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping new parents thrive, we cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough. She made an enormous difference for our family and we’re so grateful we had her during such a special (and challenging) time. We truly can't say enough good things about our experience with her.

Alyssa assisted us in a pinch after I got sick 3 weeks postpartum. Immediately upon her coming into my house, and asking gentle questions, I knew we’d be a good fit. She took care of our household when I was at my most vulnerable. She brought expertise as well as peace, something my postpartum mind and body needed on a spiritual, mental and physical level. She loved our baby as her own and I never worried on the nights she came. She became an integral part of our journey and we’re so thankful. We would highly recommend Alyssa Audrey!

I highly recommend Alyssa’s night doula services! She is excellent. Before searching for a doula, I was honestly very nervous about trusting anyone with my little daughter. From the very first meeting with Alyssa, all of those fears disappeared, she immediately gave me such peace of mind and made me feel completely comfortable. She is incredibly professional, warm, kind, and trustworthy. Throughout our time together, Alyssa was always punctual and reliable, and she consistently went above and beyond to make both me and my daughter feel safe and cared for. My baby was always so happy with her, and I felt so reassured knowing she was in such good hands. Looking back, I truly feel that Alyssa saved my maternity experience. Because of her support, I was able to actually rest, recover, and enjoy those first two months with my daughter. Having her by our side made all the difference. If you are considering a night doula, I highly recommend Alyssa, she is someone you can trust completely, and I’m so grateful we found her!

Working with Alyssa was truly life-changing for me and my family. From the moment she entered our home, she brought a calm, confident presence that made the chaotic early weeks with a newborn feel manageable and joyful. Her knowledge, intuition, and gentle guidance were exactly what we needed. She supported not only our daughter, but me as a new mom in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She empowered me, built my confidence, and helped me grow into the mother I wanted to be. Her kindness and care extended to our whole family, and her impact will stay with us forever. We are so grateful for Alyssa!! I cannot recommend her enough to any family looking for postpartum support.

My partner and I worked with Alyssa as our postpartum doula in early 2025. When I think back to the things that helped keep us afloat during those early postpartum weeks, it was her. She was a calming, supportive, incredibly considerate presence during that time. As first time parents, we didn’t really know what type of support we would need, or what to ask for, but we didn’t need to. Alyssa knew how to help. She helped by cooking us meals, catching up on dishes or laundry, tidying up a bit here and there, and perhaps most importantly, just by being present as a thoughtful listener. The first few weeks can be disorienting and confusing and lonely, and Alyssa offered a safe space to help us navigate through that (and offered resources along the way as well!). She also helped us with a lot of overnight support. She was tender and playful with our little one, checked in with us for any specific needs, and gave detailed updates on what happened overnight. It was a major relief to feel confident in trusting her with that type of support. Alyssa is a remarkable doula and person and I can’t recommend her enough.

We worked with Alyssa a few times for overnight care with our newborn, and she was absolutely wonderful. She brought such a calm, kind, and supportive presence into our home during a time that can feel so overwhelming. Alyssa always showed up with a smile, answered all my questions with patience, and offered a ton of helpful advice. We felt completely at ease with her caring for our baby, and I always looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend her to any family looking for compassionate support in those early days!

Alyssa was such a wonderful part of our postpartum support system when we came home with our 3rd. She easily became a part of our family, and her presence helped me feel so much more rested and grounded during this postpartum phase. She loved our baby like it was her own and we are grateful, and the entire family was so sad to see her go!

I don’t even know where to begin… Alyssa is the MVP of our postpartum experience. She made the first six weeks of having a newborn feel more manageable. Her knowledge was invaluable and she helped us get the hang of things right away. Not to mention that our baby absolutely adores her! We cannot thank her enough for helping ease our transition into parenthood.

When I got pregnant with twins, Alyssa came to us highly recommended by another doula — and I'm SO happy she was able to fit us into her schedule. From the second my husband and I hung up the phone after our first interview with her, I knew she was the one. Alyssa brings a unique blend of experience, skill, and personality to everything she does. One minute she'd be singing to our twins and the next whipping up a healthy recipe for us to freeze and eat when we needed it! While Alyssa is seriously professional, communicative, and organized, she's also incredibly down to earth, nurturing, and fun to be around. We valued not only her time and help but her advice and resources – she seems to be connected to every baby-related organization and professional in the northern Colorado region! Obviously, I would highly recommend Alyssa and would hire her again in a heartbeat if I were to have any more kiddos. I'll miss her presence in our home now that our twins are a bit older and our engagement is over, but I guess it's time to share her with the world!

Alyssa was a great resource, help, and friend during our postpartum time with our son. She was loving and kind with both our son, our older daughter, and us. Our older daughter loved when she would come over and play with her and would ask where Miss Alyssa is when she was not around. Alyssa is a former teacher so had lots of fun things to do with her. The meals she made were also delicious in the postpartum period. When I didn't know what I needed help with, she would know what would make the day easier. If we were having more children, we would definitely hire her again!

After a NICU stay, we were desperate for some good sleep and help we could trust. Alyssa was quick to respond to our inquiry and immediately came across as someone who would care not only for our son, but also for me in my recovery. She was communicative and thoughtful, providing thorough updates on how much and when he fed, diapers, and general temperament. She brought a delicious and nutrient packed bone broth for my recovery, provided us with printouts of CDC recommendations, and even stopped by after our contract ended to drop off a baby book that she mentioned. We are so grateful to Alyssa for helping us get back on our feet and for being a thoughtful and trustworthy caregiver to our whole family.

We are so grateful for our time with Alyssa as our overnight doula! Not only did she care for our baby boy with such kindness and attentiveness—always treating him like his own little person—but she also took the time to check in on my mental well-being and physical recovery as a mother, which meant so much. Her soothing presence and gentleness with our baby were truly reassuring. She was always punctual and made quick, seamless transitions each evening to give my husband and I the maximum rest possible. She is a great communicator and kept us well-informed about scheduling, making everything so easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better support for our family as we transitioned to two kids under two!

Alyssa has been an absolute gift to our family during such a precious and transformative time. As a mother of three, I initially thought I wouldn’t need or want extra postpartum doula support—but wow, was I wrong. Alyssa stepped in with grace, kindness, and expertise, helping us in ways I didn’t even know were possible. She seamlessly supported not just me, but my entire family, ensuring that we felt cared for and ahead of the curve in this busy season of life. Whether it was her gentle guidance, practical help, or just the peace of mind she brought, Alyssa went above and beyond in every way imaginable. Saying goodbye to her was bittersweet, as she became such an integral part of our lives. If you’re on the fence about hiring a postpartum doula, don’t hesitate. You need Alyssa. She will leave your family stronger, happier, and so much more supported than you could ever imagine. We are endlessly grateful for her.

Alyssa is amazing. I have often referred to her as my "pregnancy coach" because she provided so many excellent resources to me and my family when we were expecting our baby girl. For me, pregnancy and postpartum were both very anxious times, with so many new, uncertain and huge life changes associated with being a new parent. Alyssa showed up exactly when we needed her, offering tons of support, advice, comfort, and assurance during and after my pregnancy. She knew exactly what our family needed even when we did not. From sharing resources on pregnancy/postpartum/parenting, to helping with our newborn, tidying up around the house, offering meals, and just talking through new challenges - she was a real godsend. I can't recommend her doula services enough. She is truly gifted in supporting mamas and families with new babies.

Alyssa has been an incredibly important and significant part of our family over the last 3 years and we feel so lucky to have found her! Alyssa began caring for our then almost 1 year old son back in the summer of 2021 and she still cares for Oliver today and is now also caring for our 16 week old. She's been a huge help to us after our second child was born, helping with newborn care, toddler care, as well as household needs such as meal prepping, laundry, and a variety of other odds and ends around the house that are so helpful after a new baby is born. There is nobody I trust more, and we're so fortunate to have her continued support in raising our children. Alyssa has such a loving nature, and we especially are impressed by her attentiveness, open communication style, punctuality, willingness to help, and most of all the way she initiates so many fun daily adventures, projects, and learning opportunities when she's with our children. We love how she sends us a daily recap of the day with pictures and a breakdown of the day, the activities they did and insights so we always feel connected to their day to day which as a mother is so helpful when we're away from our children all day. Alyssa is a true gem and families will be so lucky to have her support in the postpartum period and beyond.

Alyssa’s support was wonderful for our family and just what we needed at the time. She put my husband and I at ease from our first conversation and later offered valuable advice around feeding and sleep. She immediately connected with our 6-month old daughter and was very intuitive in meeting her needs. I wish we’d connected with Alyssa earlier in my postpartum journey, I’m confident she would have been an incredible support system in those first days and weeks at home.

My husband and I worked with Alyssa during our wedding weekend. She was professional, punctual and took wonderful care of our 4-month old son during our busy weekend. Alyssa was calming and attentive with our son and it’s evident he was at ease with her. Alyssa was also accommodating to our busy weekend wedding schedule. This was a unique setting, but Alyssa’s adaptability and ease with babies (no matter what the setting) makes for a great post partum doula. I recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for caring doula to help with their little ones.
