About me

I’m Amanda, the Your Bold Birth Doula.I originally come from Canada, I've been in the UK for 18 years. My mother was a birth worker in her younger years and I grew up learning about the wonder of the body and birth. In my own pregnancy I devoured book after book, seeking to use my own philosophy of knowledge is power, and still felt that I could have had more support. Becoming a Doula has been the realisation of a life time calling.

I’m here to support YOU empowering YOURSELF to ask for the maternity care that you want.A Doula provides continuity of care and safety, and is with you throughout the process of preparing for labour and birth. You have with you a birth partner who not only understands the birth world, is familiar with the maternity system - but is also your personal advocate.
