Hi! I’m Amber Tejeda, a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and founder of Living Proof Lactation. I have over 11 years of nursing experience, including caring for babies and families in the NICU, and six years of experience as an IBCLC. My own experience as a NICU mom to a premature baby has given me an even deeper appreciation for how overwhelming feeding journeys can feel, especially when things don’t go as planned. A personalized visit in the comfort of your home. Whether you're navigating the NICU-to-home transition or establishing your milk supply, I provide gentle, expert guidance tailored to your baby's unique needs and your specific recovery journey. This is the ideal choice for in-depth, hands-on support.
Strong Start Membership
Perfect for families seeking extra support during the early months of their feeding journey. The Strong Start Membership includes up to 5 lactation visits over 6 months, along with unlimited portal messaging for follow up questions and support. Includes: 5 virtual lactation visits (1 upgrade to in home) Valid for 6 months from purchase *Ongoing portal messaging support for duration of package Personalized feeding plans and ongoing support Ideal for new parents who want confidence, continuity, and a trusted IBCLC in their corner during the first months of feeding. *Portal messages are typically answered within 1-2 business days. Messaging is intended for non-urgent feeding questions and support between visits. Complex concerns, new issues, or concerns requiring assessment may require a follow-up appointment. The Journey Membership
Comprehensive, long-term support for families who want guidance throughout their baby's first year. The Journey Membership includes up to 10 lactation visits over 12 months, plus ongoing portal messaging support throughout your feeding journey. From the newborn days through returning to work, pumping, introducing solids, and weaning, you'll have access to personalized, evidence-based support as your baby's needs evolve. In-home lactation consultations are available in Madisonville, Covington, Mandeville, and surrounding areas of St. Tammany Parish. Visits outside my standard service area may be available upon request.
