I am seeking a licensed midwife for a planned home birth. I am looking for someone who supports a holistic, spiritual, and low-intervention approach to birth while maintaining safety for both me and my baby. I would like my birth experience to include prayer, affirmations, freedom of movement during labor, natural comfort measures, and a calm, peaceful environment. I want a provider who views birth as a natural process, respects informed decision-making, and is comfortable incorporating my spiritual beliefs into my care. I am interested in prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum follow-up, and breastfeeding guidance. I am hoping to build a trusting relationship with my midwife and create a birth experience that feels empowering, safe, and sacred for my family.
I plan to give birth at the Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Karmanos Natural Birth Center in Royal Oak. I am looking for a doula who is supportive, knowledgeable, and confident in advocating for me in a hospital setting. I want a calm, peaceful, and empowering birth experience. My ideal environment includes dim lighting, soothing music, and a relaxed atmosphere. I am hoping for a natural, low intervention birth (water birth if possible) with a focus on breathing techniques, movement, and holistic comfort measures. I am looking for someone with an earthy, holistic approach who values education, informed consent, and emotional support. I want a doula who will help prepare me mentally and physically before birth and also provide guidance and support postpartum. Advocacy is very important to me I want someone who will help me feel heard, respected, and safe throughout the entire process.
