Would like to labor at home as long as possible or even until delivery if able. Other wise hospital. Budget is at 3500 for both labor and postpartum services. My birth plan is to avoid interventions as much as possible. I do not want to be induced unless medically necessary. My goal is to have a natural, low-intervention birth and avoid epidurals, inductions, and unnecessary interventions unless medically necessary. If labor is progressing well, I am very interested in a water birth. Since this is my first child, I am open to continuous monitoring and appreciate providers who prioritize both comfort and safety. I have a B-negative blood type, so I am specifically looking for a provider who is experienced and comfortable managing Rh-negative pregnancies, including coordination of any necessary RhoGAM care and monitoring throughout pregnancy and postpartum. I would like a provider with a clear emergency transfer protocol, experience supporting first-time mothers, and strong postpartum support. I am also interested in personalized education and guidance throughout pregnancy. If timing allows, I would love for close family members to be present for emotional support while still respecting the midwife’s space and ability to work effectively.
