Hi, I'm Anita Hermosilla (she/her), a Birth Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and Community Birth Worker based in Austin, Texas. I provide continuous, holistic, evidence-informed support in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, helping families feel empowered, informed, and deeply supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience. I immigrated to the United States from Chile without the support of nearby family or a community to lean on. Becoming a mother while navigating a new country profoundly shaped the way I understand birth, healing, and the importance of compassionate support. I am the mother of three children: my oldest daughter was born through an unmedicated vaginal birth, while my twins were born by cesarean birth and spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Experiencing both an empowering physiological birth and the unexpected challenges of a surgical birth and NICU journey gave me a unique perspective on the many paths birth can take. These experiences taught me firsthand how important it is to feel heard, respected, and supported—regardless of how your birth unfolds. Every family's journey is different, and I believe every family deserves compassionate, nonjudgmental care. Since 2020, I have been a DONA International-trained Birth Doula with additional training in Rebozo techniques, Placenta Medicine, Sound Healing, and Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Circle Facilitation. My work with Mama Sana Vibrant Woman, serving families throughout Central Texas, has deepened my commitment to reproductive justice, culturally responsive care, and supporting families from diverse backgrounds. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a scheduled cesarean, a VBAC, or simply hoping to feel more confident and prepared, my goal is to help you feel safe, informed, and empowered every step of the way. Hello, my name is Krisy. I have been a certified doula since 2020. I am also a licensed massage therapist, who specializes in prenatal and postnatal massage. I have gone to school to become a chef so that I can provide prenatal meal prep options and postpartum meals for moms and their families. I offer birth support, placenta encapsulation and daytime postpartum care. My dream in life is to become a midwife and open a birthing house, so I have become a student midwife to pursue that dream of mine. I am also CPR and NRP certified

Hello, I'm Beatrice. I am a birth doula, and lactation consultant located in Austin, Texas. I started being a doula during my own pregnancy with my son and have loved it since day one! I am trained in birth, postpartum, bereavement, and lactation. I have experience with high risk pregnancies as well. I strive to create a calming, connected, and enjoyable process for all my birthing people and families alike. I have a background in the medical field and being a liberation coach, love creating connections between mother and baby. I also provide support to the fathers (or partners/support people) to be most helpful to mom and baby during pregnancy as well as postpartum. Howdy! I’m so glad you’re here! Birth and postpartum are some of the most vulnerable times in someone’s life and if we work together I’m likely going to see you naked to some degree, so it’s only fair you know about me too! I grew up in the Dallas area and have been in Austin since 2014. I came for college and south Austin has always been my home. I was a nanny for a family while I was working on my undergraduate degree in social work with minors in psychology and women & gender studies - they introduced me to what a doula was. I am one of the lucky people on this planet who has truly found their calling and can honestly say they love their job. I’m also a Licensed Social Worker in both Texas and Colorado and focused my studies in graduate school on perinatal mental health and mood disorders and the mind-body connection of somatic therapy. I believe the birth of a child, and rebirth of humans in the transition to becoming a parent, are sacred and beautiful experiences. Knowing birth is strenuous on the physical body as well as requiring an immense amount of mental strength, I bring in knowledge from regulating your central nervous system while still focusing on mind-body-soul-connection. Having a strong support to provide knowledge, hold space, and honor the process is key, and what I love most about birthwork. I am also passionate about the postpartum period to help families navigate the transitions of a new parental identity, preparing parent’s relationship for changes, caring for themselves, and setting up realistic expectations for what the future will bring. I come into the birthing space with no judgment, and am fully present for whatever decisions you make during this process. You can catch me around Austin climbing rocks, crocheting at Barton Springs, reading at West China Tea Company, and traveling with my partner, Haley, and our 2 dogs, Norman and Elio.
