Hi, I’m Vanessa, founder of Pocket Doula Care, an Austin-based team of birth and postpartum doulas. I personally support a select number of families while also helping each family find the right Pocket Doula for their needs. Every family starts with a conversation with me. From there, I consider your goals, preferences, due date, and the kind of support you’re looking for to help connect you with the doula who is the best fit. Whether you work with me or another Pocket Doula Care doula, you’ll have a primary doula relationship with the support of our team behind you.

I am a birth and postpartum doula, NICU mom, and a military wife, whose passion for this work was shaped by my own early motherhood experience. I had my first baby halfway across the country during COVID, farm from family and community. That season taught me how powerful it is to feel truly supported, and it became the foundation for the way I show up for other families. I have had the honor of supporting friends and families through both home births and hospital births, and I love walking alongside parents through the many different paths birth birth can take, with a professional foundation in Kinesiology, I understand deeply how the body functions in pregnancy and birth, and how movement and positioning support physiological labor and how to help reduce strain and injury during this transformative process. I blend evidence based education with holistic, intuitive care to offer support that is both grounded and nurturing. At the heart of my work is a simple intention. I show up for mothers the way I would want someone to show up for my daughter one day. With warmth, compassion, and a steady presence, my hope is that every family I support feels seen, held, and never alone as they step into parenthood.

I am a mother of three with both personal and professional experience in maternal and child health. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Maternal Child Health, Lactation Consultant, Birth doula, and Postpartum doula. Direct experience supporting families, I provide evidence-based care during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am committed to helping families gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in early parenthood.

I am a mother of five and have supported women on their motherhood journey since high school. I often feel that doula work chose me and not the other way around. Having attended over 150 deliveries as a professional DONA-trained doula, I have experience in various births and know the power this moment carries. Hello! I'm Madison, I'm a trained Birth and Postpartum Doula; I am located in San Antonio and serve all of San Antonio and the surrounding communities. I'm passionate about supporting families through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives: childbirth. As a doula, I provide comprehensive support to expectant mothers and their partners before, during, and after childbirth, including invaluable postpartum care. My journey into doula work began after I had my 3rd child and had the amazing opportunity to have a doula for her birth. It made such a difference in my birth experience and helped me avoid having another traumatic birthing experience. After becoming certified with DONA as a labor doula I joined my education, experience, and creativity with becoming a lifestyle photographer and have since been serving the greater Austin area. My goal is to empower new and expecting families with fact-based information, and unyielding support. Hello, I'm Beatrice. I am a birth doula, and lactation consultant located in Austin, Texas. I started being a doula during my own pregnancy with my son and have loved it since day one! I am trained in birth, postpartum, bereavement, and lactation. I have experience with high risk pregnancies as well. I strive to create a calming, connected, and enjoyable process for all my birthing people and families alike. I have a background in the medical field and being a liberation coach, love creating connections between mother and baby. I also provide support to the fathers (or partners/support people) to be most helpful to mom and baby during pregnancy as well as postpartum. I was inspired to pursue birth work after becoming a parent and experiencing how powerful and transformative the birthing process is. I also do this work because it brings so much joy and connection. I believe that supporting families during such a vulnerable and sacred passage in their lives, providing access to care, educating and overall empowering birthing people to trust their bodies and intuition is truly fundamental for healthy maternal/ birthing outcomes. I am the proud mama of a magical 3 year old. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and watching the wild dance of our trees. I love eating and getting lost in a good book. I was born in Guatemala and moved to the states when I was 7 years old. Spanish is my first language. I got a Bachelors in Marketing at Missouri State University and moved to Austin shortly thereafter. I have been married for 6 years to a man who makes me laugh.
