I plan to give birth at home or birthing center (prefer at home). I want coverage by insurance (even if I have to switch insurance plans) I want a midwife to monitor my entire pregnancy. I’d like aromatherapy and music. No meds. Hydrotherapy for pain but not sure I want to deliver in water. I’d like to keep the placenta, no meds for the baby. I might be having twins.

These last five weeks Postpartum has been extremely hard on me, I have been doing everything alone since my husband is deployed and I feel lost in what my baby needs.

Looking for an IBCLC, preferably an RN. My newborns DOB is 4/10/25. He was born at 34 weeks 6 days. Did not need any NICU time however had a hard time latching. We pumped in the hospital and supplemented with formula. I was able to eventually stop the formula and bottle feed exclusively breast milk. A few days ago, I was finally able to get a latch. However sometimes it’s still painful and I’m struggling to learn how to know if he’s done or when to switch breasts.
