I tried to breastfeed my last child but she absolutely wouldn’t latch. I think I have flat nipples so she wouldn’t latch without a nipple shield that was too painful to use. I tried to pump but never had any milk output, I don’t even think I had colostrum. I don’t know if I was just doing it wrong or if I just didn’t have any milk. Because I don’t know what I was doing wrong, I don’t know how to do it right this time round. I think I need a prenatal appnt to figure out how to size everything right, methods, nipple healing when it hurts too much, tools and products to use. I don’t even know how much milk I should be able to get out in the first weeks or how to store and make use of pumped milk because I never got the chance to learn it. I’d like someone experienced and gentle. I don’t do well with blunt, tough love, especially postpartum. Lower budget would be nice but I don’t have much idea of what a consultant costs

Looking for a birth doula that has experience with VBA2C births. Planning to give birth at John's Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Someone who can advocate for me during labor to allow me to move freely and help me stick to my birth plan.

We are a same-sex couple having our first baby. We're looking for a doula who is experienced working with neurodivergent mothers and also has some experience with working with mothers who suffer from trauma. We're looking for someone who can support pre-birth through education, resources and techniques and can also be in the room during the birth. We're hoping to breastfeed, but that might be a sensory nightmare, so we're looking for someone who can help us navigate that. We will be giving birth in a hospital, hopefully unmedicated and vaginally. Unsure about days/hours required or budget, but in person is better.

Two week old who seems to be eating plenty, but her feeds are fast (6-11 minutes). She usually only has one breast per feed and will fall asleep right after. I worry that she is not emptying the milk. I’ve been using a Hakka on the opposite breast and now I worry that it’s caused an over supply. So Sunday 9/20 I got the chills and felt engorged. But no fever. She has her second pediatrician appointment this Wednesday. Seeking a home visit this week and advice on avoiding mastitis while ensuring supply and healthy baby feeds. Additionally looking for a consultant that accepts Care First insurance.

This is my second baby. I'd like a hospital birth. My first birth was not traumatic but I remember feeling like I was limited in my ability to express my needs and felt pressured into certain interventions. I also had a very negative breastfeeding experience and was never able to establish that with my first and would like to try again. I am looking for someone to help advocate for me during the birth and support me in getting breastfeeding established.

Looking for a faith-based doula for L&D and postpartum breastfeeding support. My last experience was without one and I feel having an experienced advocate in the room will be helpful. I want someone to help me feel supported and help me voice my preferences / needs during. Having a vaginal birth with minimal intervention is important to me. I’d love to birth at home but husband prefers we do hospital so we’ll be doing York wellspan hospital. Budget is ~$1500, and birth plan is as above, and limiting iv fluids, limiting induction interventions and avoiding C-section when able, and birthing in positions other than on back and legs up. Golden hour. Set up for best success with breastfeeding. Etc.

Second baby due in September. With my first born (dec 2024) I could only successfully latch him for a few days, after returning from the hospital we used the nipple shield to help him latch and used it for a month before completely switching to exclusively pumping. Continued to pump for 10 months before milk slowly dried out. I want to be prepared this time on how to get baby to latch especially if I want to combo feed breastmilk through pumping and through breastfeeding.

6 days old with a shallow latch and painful feeds for the most part. Seen by pediatrician and thought to have a tongue tie. Just really trying to get a good deep latch to prevent painful feeds.

We live in Hanover, plan to birth in Carlisle. Looking for a home birth experience in a hospital setting. Unmedicated if possible, with minimal intervention. History of infertility and loss. Strong personality and need someone who can work with that. Looking for prenatal, birth and postpartum support. Experience with breastfeeding, baby wearing and cloth diapers is a plus. Definitely want someone with experience in movement techniques to optimize baby's positioning. My insurance covers 1200 per year and we can go a bit above that. Bonus points if we can split billing or do a visit in the new year to use both years benefits. Insurance requires a tax ID number and an invoice.

11 day old not gaining weight as needed. Very slow. May have shallow latch but nipples don’t hurt

In person or virtual pumping consultation. I'm not getting good output in the last two days since my 4 month old started daycare and I'm back at work. I've only pumped a couple times since she was born before starting work and was using an old Ameda Mya. It worked well once in my first week post partum when I was engorged. When I used it recently it didn't pump much but I wasn't sure if it was old parts an old pump or that I didn't have much supply between breast feeds. I got a new Medela pump in style pro and have tried with 24, 21, and 18 mm flanges. I can get 2 oz ok on my left breast but on my right I only get 1 oz and need to get at least 2. My nipple on that side isn't very pointy - my areola and nipple make a triangle shape. When I pump it hurts my nipple and turns purple but I feel like my areola is pulled in so I don't know if the flange is too big or too small or it's something else. I was able to pump ~4oz pretty consistently with my first born 2 years ago but I think that was mostly when I was in office using a hospital grade pump and I work from home now.
