Hi. I am looking for help with breastfeeding and pumping for my newborn son. He nurses frequently and has plenty of wet diapers, but my pumping output varies. Sometimes I get a few ounces and other times only drops, which makes me worry about my supply. I would like help checking his latch and making sure he is getting enough milk. I also need help with flange sizing, pump settings, and a pumping routine that works with my school schedule. First child, giving birth at GBMC in Baltimore, MD. Would like to go as long as possible without an epidural to prioritize movement, but definitely plan on getting said epidural and no desire or need to go fully natural. Would like as much education as support for going into birth, how my husband can support me (counterpressure, advocacy for a generally go-with-the-flow personality, etc.) breastfeeding (a huge goal is to exclusively breastfeed as long as possible, but my mom had to supplement with formula so I'm worried I will have to as well), postpartum, and in general what me and my husband can expect. Unsure of any budget, what is standard/reasonable, if insurances covers such a services, etc.

Because I don’t know what I was doing wrong, I don’t know how to do it right this time round. I think I need a prenatal appnt to figure out how to size everything right, methods, nipple healing when it hurts too much, tools and products to use. I don’t even know how much milk I should be able to get out in the first weeks or how to store and make use of pumped milk because I never got the chance to learn it. I’d like someone experienced and gentle. I don’t do well with blunt, tough love, especially postpartum. Lower budget would be nice but I don’t have much idea of what a consultant costs

First baby and planning to birth in a hospital but with as minimal intervention as possible.

Beginning at around 3.5 weeks old, my baby has had extreme fussiness during feedings, often eating for just a few minutes before screaming and unable to relatch. Some feedings are still normal, some are extremely difficult, with no obvious reason. I have Aetna insurance, baby has UHC. Prefer in-person appointments.

I’m having a hard time getting my baby to latch and stay latched. So I have been supplementing with formula and I’m concerned it’s making things worse. Also pumping has been uncomfortable and I am currently dealing with engorgement.

This is my second baby. I'd like a hospital birth. My first birth was not traumatic but I remember feeling like I was limited in my ability to express my needs and felt pressured into certain interventions. I also had a very negative breastfeeding experience and was never able to establish that with my first and would like to try again. I am looking for someone to help advocate for me during the birth and support me in getting breastfeeding established.
