I need help for sleeping my son is 8 months I cannot sleep he is crying
Delivering in NYU downtown Brooklyn hospital. I want to use my insurance benefits to pay for this. My birth plan is secure but I’m nervous about being freshly postpartum with two other kids at home and zero sleep. It really takes a toll on me (mom) and postpartum doula is what I’m specifically looking for.
*Please specify if you help overnight* I am early in the process of planning postpartum support. I have a 2-year-old at home and will be delivering via scheduled C-section. My husband owns a business and will not be able to take extended time off, so I am looking for overnight support to ensure I can recover properly and be well-rested during the day for both my newborn and my toddler. My priority is safe, experienced nighttime care that allows me to heal physically while still remaining closely involved in nighttime feeds and bonding.
NY - not sure - not sure -------------------------
We don't know how much doula costs so we need a guidance here. We live in Jersey City (Newport) and need postpartum doula. About us: We’re a bilingual English-Russian couple, both Jewish and fairly agnostic. While religion isn’t central to our lives, we’d prefer someone who understands our cultural background—usually that’s other Jewish people or Christians. This will be our first baby, and we’re looking for someone who can help us prepare. Ideally, we’d like to start with a call to go over what to expect and how to get ready for labor. We also want someone to visit us at home on the second day after birth to walk us through feeding and basic newborn care. Longer-term, we’re open to ongoing support and possibly having someone with us during labor, depending on pricing. We have Anthem insurance and would appreciate a clear picture of the financial commitment up front. In terms of approach, we’re pragmatic and prefer someone who’s professional, kind, and direct. I don’t like being called “mommy” or being spoken to in a cutesy or overly emotional way. A grounded, focused personality would be a better fit. We’re sensitive and emotionally aware, but not drawn to overly spiritual approaches. We’re looking for someone who understands both the science and the natural, intuitive side of birth, without leaning too far into either extreme. For labor, I plan to move around, avoid medication if I can manage the pain, and steer clear of anything involving needles. I’ve tried meditation and it doesn’t work for me, so I’d prefer other methods like breathwork, bathing, dim lighting, and moving intuitively. English is my second language, so clear pronunciation is important. And finally, we have a very active and friendly corgi, so being comfortable around dogs is a must.
Hello, I am expecting my baby on August 10th and am looking for a postpartum doula in New Jersey to provide overnight support. I am interested in support for 4+ weeks. I am excited to meet you! Please send me a message if you are interested. I would love to learn more about your experience and availability. Warm regards, Marcela
Looking for a night nurse to come take care of the baby for 8 hours at night 2/3 times a week, would be nice if they also know how to sleep train the baby. Baby is around 3 weeks, born on 1/17/2026 and is combo feeding so night nurse can either feed him pumped breastmilk or formula. While baby is sleeping help with washing bottle and pump parts and cleaning baby clothes. Also help with bath time.
Hi - I spoke with my insurance Cigna and they confirmed I have 60 days per calendar year with 16 hours per day during this time for a postpartum home health care for me and my newborn. No prior authorization is required. They didn't call it a doula but they called it a PP home health care. They couldn't give me a list of eligible providers, I kept getting either a list of home health care providers (which included nursing homes or Lenox Hill Radiology) or OBGYNs. I would like to connect and discuss how we can work together.
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in May and seeking supports to help us transition through becoming new parents. My due date is May 11th and we are planning to deliver out of New York Presbyterian- Alexandra Cohen Hospital. We are looking for assistance in the evenings 5-6 nights a week for the first 3-4 months. We would like someone that is able to provide consistent support, but also flexible with scheduling if we decide to travel a few weekends over the course of the summer. We would like this newborn care specialist to have experience with lactation consultation and sleep training. In addition, I would love the opportunity to work with a doula that can help me create a clearer birth plan. I am open to having a doula join me for the birth, as well as a few postpartum meetings to see how the family is doing.
Currently my new born is on formula and need to get shifted to breast feeding. Also, my milk supply is very small. Need help in increasing milk supply and changing my newborn to breast feed. In-home visit is much appreciated.
