I was trying to have birth in a birthing center but I am not sure if my insurance covers that but I would like a midwife for my appointments and for my hospital birth. This will be my 3rd baby, and I really want to try something different. I am very strong minded during birth and I loved the experience with my first 2. Now I just want to try to do it without medicine and I want me and my husband to have an intimate time together. I was induced both pregnancies. I tend to lose fluid at the end which leads to inducing me early that’s really the only thing that was an issue for me. Insurance: I have United health care choice plus HSA through my job. Budget: not really sure. I asked another birthing center and they were asking $750 a month and that’s just really expensive.

I plan to give birth in the hospital in case there are any medical emergencies with me being high risk (I’m 37). My insurance should pay for this. I don’t currently have a birth plan, as I’m only 10 weeks and am doing this alone.
I would prefer a birthing center or home birth. Our budget will be based off of our medical insurance through Champ VA. This is my first pregnancy, and I’d like to explore holistic options vs traditional OB And hospital births. I do not know a lot about midwivery besides some initial research but would like to explore that route for our care. Midwifery services is my primary concern, but also would like to learn about doula services and lactation services to see if that’s a good option for me too. would prefer birth center or home birth (water birth) Have Aetna insurance so prefer to use that, otherwise will pay OOP/look at financing options.
I am looking for a doula/midwife who can support my natural/physiological birth plan and who can advocate for me within the hospital setting. I want to be free to move around during labor, possibly use a labor tub, push with my contractions instead of purple pushing, and deliver my placenta naturally. I would prefer a doula/midwife who I knowledgeable about hospital policies and feels comfortable advocating my wishes while I am focused on breathing through contractions.
