Greetings, my name is Cathleen. Born and raised in Rockland County NY. My background has been weaved in women's wellness focusing on mind-body-spirit connectedness. My style of work is intuitive & spirit-led fusing evidence based information and ancestral wisdom. I'm a full spectrum doula, breech without borders trainee, Postpartum Healing Specialist weaving ancient & indigenous healing modalities. I have a more holistic approach such as breath work, the use of essential oils, physical touch, and change of laboring positions. I support hospital and home births. I work with you to help you have the empowered birthing experience that you desire and deserve. Although, I didn't listen to the call to this path until 2020 to become certified doula, my first birth that I supported and postpartum care was provided in 2006.

Accompany you to 2 Prenatal visits-virtual/in-person. 6 sessions of Mindfulness & Body Movement Sessions to keep you mind body spirit centered allowing you to heal and expand as your usher your baby earth side. We go over Early Labor Signs & Coping Techniques, When to Contact Your Doula, Baby Registry/Product Recommendations, Comfort Measures and Coping Techniques for Labor & Birth, Tips for Birth Partners, Newborn Care, Breath work, Calm Birth Techniques.

40 Day Postpartum Healing Care

Some days you just want rest. While your baby is held/cared for. I help you feel at home in your new body on your new journey. 40 Days of Support Includes: 2-5 hr shifts. It looks like Belly binding and education, preparation of healing foods and teas, baby wearing help, Emotional support, light tidying, check-in with partner. New Born Care, Identifying Feeding Cues, Holistic product recommendations, Womb Massages, Breastfeeding / Lactation Support, Pumping Assistance Diaper Changing Assistance, Burping Assistance, Help with cesarean care - last session will consist of Haitian Postpartum Bath, Yoni Steam and Bone Closing Ceremony. Cathleen was an extremely caring doula. I am so grateful for having had her as my doula as she was always caring for me and guiding me to balance my body, mind, and soul while preparing to welcome my child to this world. She incorporated sound body movement with soul care, which I am sure influenced my homebirth experience. My labor lasted 12 hours (start to finish), and she was the only one there at the time of the birth because my baby came so speedily that the rest of the team did not arrive in time. I’m sure my baby chose her to be there because of her grounding presence and her positive vibrations. Will definitely choose her next time, and the next, and the next.

This was my 2nd pregnancy and felt like I needed an advocate well versed in the birthing experience to be there with me and my partner, especially because I wanted to achieve a VBAC in a hospital setting. I'm so glad I met Cathleen and purchased her prenatal & birth support package. It was great to have her positive energy throughout my VBAC journey. Our movement sessions were my favorite part of the prenatal journey. In the delivery room her presence alone was calming and peaceful. As I went through each contraction she was there taking the edge of the intense feeling through movement. She also encouraged me with her words and reminded me that I can achieve what I had in my birth plan. She didn't leave until the baby was born and also introduced me to a supportive group of ladies who discuss all things surrounding motherhood. In the end I successfully achieved my VBAC.
