Cosmos Midwifery provides unique, individualized, family-centered care throughout pregnancy to respectfully support our clients in a vulnerable and tender time. We use long prenatal visits, lots of education, lab work and ultrasound, hands-on evaluation, and emotional support to offer the most comprehensive care possible. We are available to you from the beginning to the end of your birth to ensure that you and your family are safe and supported. We respect your intuition and innate knowledge of what is best for you and your family throughout this process and help you to achieve those things. *Although we are out of network with all insurances, we work with a medical billing service and aim to get our services covered by your health insurance as out-of-network providers. This generally works quite well!

Tell me about costs and insurance!

Cosmos Midwifery works out-of-network with all insurances, including Medicaid and marketplace plans. Most insurance companies will cover some, if not all, of the fee for home birth. Lab work will be drawn or collected by us in the office and sent to a laboratory that is in-network with your insurance. For ultrasounds you will be referred to an in-network provider. We work with an expert medical biller, Hamilton Billing, dedicated to carefully explaining to you what you might be responsible for financially and guiding you through the process. At their website you can create an account to get concrete information from them about your expected costs for homebirth care.
