I am currently seeing an OB but they do not deliver in the area that I live in. I am in the boardman/Youngstown Ohio area. I prefer to have a natural birth if possible. I am currently 5 weeks 1 day pregnant. My first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage in July 2024. I would like to deliver at St. Elizabeth’s in Boardman, OH. I do not necessarily have a birth plan, but would like help putting one together.

I'd like to avoid c section and getting induced, and would like my doula to advocate for me during labor and delivery, and support me in my decisions. I need a birth plan. I need to be educated on possible strategies to prevent or aide in pain during birth. I potentially need someone to walk me through during birth. I need someone to assist me after birth, in home.

Will give birth at Corewell in Royal Oak. I want to go the natural route and would like to birth at the natural birthing center connected to the hospital. I will be 35 when I deliver. My husband is a huge support but will need coaching himself. My hope is to breast feed exclusively for the first 2-3 weeks and then incorporate some pumping. I am planning an all natural route but also understand the need for some intervention in event of increased risk for my baby or myself. I also work in the hospital and in healthcare and understand that some intervention is in place for liability/convenience purposes and not necessarily for mom and baby.
