My partner Janet wants to do a home birth. We are a newer couple and want to do everything as well as we can. We are both low income looking for affordable and natural methods for doing a home birth. I’m not sure what kind of budget to expect but I will be moving up to Berkeley starting a new unknown job to be with her asap. She is a gender and women’s studies major and I’m very inexperienced in this field but want to do everything I can as her partner to get her what she needs.

I’m looking for medical and emotional/spiritual support before and during birth, and support with feeding and just general questions post-birth. I would prefer an at-home birth but I am open to a birthing center. I am 37 and will be 38 at the time of birth and I’ll be a first-time mother. I plan on not using any drugs and I would prefer a tub birth with some candles and Enya and as chill as possible. My budget is pretty much nothing as I’m a returning college student. I have medí-cal so I’m hoping all of my services are covered my that. Thank you for your help!

Hi, This is my first pregnancy and I am currently 10 weeks along. I am looking for guidance and support from a doula who can help both my husband and me navigate this journey. I am planning to give birth in a hospital. My goal is to have a natural birth with an epidural. At the same time, I am open to any medical recommendations necessary to ensure the health and safety of both myself and the baby. I would also love to build an ongoing relationship with a doula who can continue to support me during the postpartum period, including education around lactation and breastfeeding. We are covered by Carrot Insurance and Kaiser, so it would be wonderful if you accept either of these.

I am planning to give birth at home, in Dublin California. I’m mainly looking for a midwife and possibly a doula for support. I am planning to use my insurance at Kaiser for my scans up through the third trimester, and mainly want the midwife and possible doula team for delivery. I imagine visiting with them beforehand, but relying on my insurance for everything else leading up to delivery. Budget is $5k or less I want to give birth at home, unmedicated, with minimal interventions.
