I'm a first time mom, age 42. I feel that the info my mother share may be outdated and the internet is saturated with contradicting information so I'm overwhelmed. I would prefer to use my insurance if that's possible. I'd like to have a natural birth but I really don't know my options. My husband is more comfortable with spanish so that would good.
I wouldn't mind a hospital birth, but a water birth is my choice. I have insurance with Aetna, so whatever my insurance doesn't cover is my budget...? If you don't work with insurance, ideally I'm not trying to go over 6k. I prefer a holistic and natural approach. I need someone I can contact easily that will respond withing a couple hours and not 24 hours. I prefer a midwife/doula that is a POC, has a background in ancient traditional birthing, and knows herbs better than me. I don't want Westernized typical American care where I'm just another dollar to the facility and not a patient growing a little human. Ideally, my midwife/doula is compassionate, can be funny where space allows, and is very knowledgeable and can handle emergencies if the case cause for it rather than automatically pressing for cesarean.
Birthing center preferred, natural water birth. Very comfortable environment with gospel or calming music. Family friendly. I have blue cross blue shield insurance.
I am looking for a dula to support my hospital birth and advocate for me as I am from another state and have zero family here. Night Nanny I would like to find out my options and price quote a night nanny. I would like to consider a night nanny for my twins who will be born this fall.
I plan to give birth at a birthing center. My budget is $2,000. I plan to have a very relaxing calm unmedicated birth. I definitely need someone that’s certified with at least 10 years of experience. Someone with additional duties for cooking and laundry.
I plan on having a home birth - located in Katy Texas. My estimated budget is around $600.00. My hope is to have a peaceful, supportive home birth environment where the Holy Spirit is so present.
I plan on giving birth at The Women's Hospital of Texas, my insurance provider is Tricare West, and my birth plan is simple, I do want to be medicated, I am keeping my placenta, and I am doing delayed cord clamping until baby's cord is white and no longer pulsating.
I plan to give birth in a birth center. I’m on medicaid.
Someone to support a water birth that can assist at a birthing center or for a home birth.
Still early but wanting a hospital birth with doula support, and also want a night nurse / doula for post-birth. Budget TBD.
Home is where I would like to be. I want to find someone my insurance covers and I don’t really have birthplan yet .
I am currently on baby number six. I’ve had four vag deliveries one cesarean. I will make five month pregnant next week! Also 13 month post cesarean. I am in a nerve wreck as I am trying for trans vag. I had an horrible experience with my cesarean. Hopefully a doula is what I need when it comes to knowledge and any preparation needed
Looking for a birth doula to help create a birth plan and execute when the time comes. This is my first child and I would like to delivery unmedicated if at all possible. I will be delivering in the med center at Texas children’s. Budget is flexible
I’m looking for a doula for my Medically necessary induction that is covered by Texas Medicaid
I plan to give birth at a hospital. Vaginal birth and I want to learn more about specific birth plans
This is my first baby. My family lives in California and I live in Long Beach. So I’m in need of learning the do’s and don’ts of childbirth and afterbirth care. Also prepping my body for delivery. Ideally I would like to have a water birth because it seems safer for the baby and I. By research I’ve seen most doula’s cost $25 an hour. I do have insurance and I’m hoping that can help with the finances.
hospital no budget would rather if insurance can cover something
I plan on giving birth at a hospital. I don't have a budget because I'm hoping Tricare will pay for everything. I don't have a birth plan at the moment. I'm high risk according to my obgyn so I'm not sure. My insurance is Tricare.
I plan to give birth in a hospital because even though I have a vaginal birth with my 1st I had to have a C-Section with my 2nd because of an accident I had in between them, where I had exploratory surgery and uterus reconstruction. At this time, I’m in a different state of mind, I would say a more conscious view of things and while I wish I can give birth at home I know it would be a risk for me. I don’t have a clear budget because this is my first time doing this, but I’m willing to move forward if I find the right person. My birth plan would be delaying the cordt cutting so the baby can receive complete nutrients and cells that need. Also skin to skin touch, in a peaceful environment and supported with the right people beside me that know my story know my case, and that can support me and all ways.
I am debating between giving birth at home or at a hospital. I hear women of color die more often in Tx hospitals than anywhere else so I’m very hesitant. I don’t want to lie down during labor, I want to squat. I am not sure what my budget is quite yet but I do want someone experienced. This will be my first child, my mother will fly down and stay for two months to help. But once she leaves I may or may not need help with sleep.
