We are giving birth at the Mother baby center at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. We are unsure of budget, and wanted to see what people were charging. This is my second birth, and my first was completely natural, other than pitocin after birth when my placenta didn't come out right away, but I would like to avoid that this time. My birth went pretty quickly as well- I woke up at 1:30 am with contractions, was at the hospital at a 3 by 5:30 and had my baby at 11:30 am.

I need someone that helps me calm down and get thru birth as smoothly as possible. Someone to educate me on relaxation techniques and breathing to make birth less “harsh” or as smooth as possible. Someone to be a voice for me and tell the doctors what I need if I am unable.

Maple grove Hospital $2000 I am looking for a doula that will be supportive of an unmedicated, no to low intervention birth. I lean more holistic "crunchy" beliefs and would be supportive in a medical setting at the hospital.

Plan to give birth at the Fairview Maple Grove Hospital in Maple Grove MN. We haven’t sorted out a budget quite yet. Birth plan is still being thought on, but here are a few items I know for certain- I don’t want an epidural if I can help it, though I’m happy to use other pain management options. I’d really like to not be induced and don’t want any form of pitocin. I’m open to different birthing positions, as long as I’m not on my back. I’d like delayed cord clamping to ensure the baby gets as much benefit from it as possible. And I don’t want any pulling to get the placenta out. I’d like to hold off on giving the baby a bath, but I do want them wiped down so we can do skin to skin. Open to other suggestions as they come up!

Would like to do a homebirth or birth center setting (Willow). Not sure on budgeting, would like some ballpark $$. Want minimal interventions, cervical checks, being touched by husband majority of the time.

I am high-risk with congenital heart defect that I did not know I had until becoming pregnant. We are planning to deliver at the Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, MN. I do have Blue Cross Blue Shield and MA insurance and hoping to have doula services covered. The providers are saying they want to do an induction trial. I would love to labor naturally, but I know that this may not be possible with my condition. I am wanting my birthing experience to be as natural as possible, no epidural or c-section if at all possible. I have a difficult time staying calm during serious situations, and I have done some research on the benefits of having a birthing doula and I am extremely interested.

Support from spouse (husband). Open to changing my Mind but would like to not have an epidural this time. This is my third baby.

It's important to me to be able to move freely during birth, not birth on my back, have immediate skin to skin contact if possible / embrace golden hour, not be induced, avoid interventions.

I’m having a Twin pregnancy! In the past I delivered a singleton baby uncomplicated vaginally with a certified midwife team at Methodist hospital. Because this is a “high risk pregnancy” I will need to deliver with an OB team and plan on doing so at Maple Grove hospital. I plan on having an epidural, but my biggest hope is to avoid an UNNECESSARY C section. We are desiring an unmedicated/low intervention hospital birth at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN. We would want a doula that would meet us at our home to help labor as long as possible before going to the hospital, and then offering support at the hospital for the rest of labor and delivery. I am interested in a water birth, or at least using the tub to cope during labor. We don't want our budget to exceed $2000.
