I would like to have a natural home-birth so I'm looking for an experienced midwife to help me achieve that. I'm on Medicaid so I'm hoping that will cover the cost of having a midwife.

I am looking for a Christian/ Christ centered doula who is well versed in high risk black maternal health and can advocate well for me. I want hands off care as much as possible. Not many cervical checks. NO episiotomy or forceps. Labor the way a position feels comfortable to me. I need someone who is going to help when fear tries to come up. Someone not afraid to pray and set the atmosphere well. My biggest fear is becoming a statistic and something happening to me during or after birth because no one listened to me and how I feel about my body. I have CareFirst Administrators. Insurance through my husbands job. I need services that will be covered.
