I am considered a high-risk pregnancy due to complications in my previous pregnancy. During my last pregnancy I experienced severe preeclampsia and stopped breathing, which was a life-threatening situation. Because of this history, I want additional support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. A doula can help monitor my well-being, provide emotional and physical support, help reduce stress, and assist with recognizing warning signs early.
