I would like to give birth at a hospital I also would like to breastfeed
I plan to give birth at Summa Hospital in Akron, OH.
I am a first-time mom who has had a really rough first trimester. I am looking into connecting with someone to make sure that I have more control over my body, and I am strong as I am going into labor.
I would like a doula that will be my advocate during the birthing process and help me with a natural unmedicated birth by positions, exercises, and breathing techniques. Also looking for a doula who is well trained in lactation to help support me and my baby with breastfeeding for the first time. I plan to give birth at SummaHealth hospital in Akron. I am still currently working on my birth plan so I could use help on that aspect as well, but I know I want to have an unmedicated natural birth. I am open to my budget but would like to keep it under $3,000. If possible I would like to use my insurance, if they accept doulas.

Hi!! Im really hoping for my second time i can be at home, in my bathtub hopefully thats my calm place already. We do have a small budget.
Hello! I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and seeking a dedicated, experienced midwife to support my planned home birth beginning in the third trimester. I would like to discuss care that begins now and extends through prenatal visits, labor & delivery, and postpartum support. Here’s what I’m specifically looking for: 🌼 Accredited and Experienced: • Certified and in good standing (please include credentials/certifications) • Preferably has attended 200+ home births and can share examples of past care 🌼 Pain-Management Preference: • Must offer nitrous oxide as an option for pain relief during labor 🌼 Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum Care: • Clear outline of what services are included at prenatal appointments • What you provide during labor and delivery • What postpartum support you offer (home visits, breastfeeding support, check-ins, etc.) 🌼 Logistics: • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to my home for appointments and birth. I don’t think it’s fair or appropriate to travel to you if I’m hiring you and PREGNANT. • Comfortable with starting care for third trimester 🌼 Partnership & Communication: • I’m seeking someone who listens, follows directions, and provides evidence-based care • Clear communication, respectful collaboration, and support through decision-making 🌼 Budget: My budget for late-entry prenatal, birth, and basic postpartum care can be discussed. I’d love to work with someone experienced who also offers nitrous oxide or something for pain management. Please let me know what services you include and if we can work within this range.” Questions for you before consulting please answer when you respond): 1. What certifications/licensing do you hold? 2. About how many home births have you attended? 3. Do you provide or can you arrange nitrous oxide for labor? 4. What prenatal, birth, and postpartum services are included (and what’s the timeline)? 5. Would you be able to start care this trimester and stay within budget? Thank you — I look forward to hearing from you! — Sade
Looking for a doula that ideally accepts United Healthcare Insurance or under $700 Delivering out of Summa Akron
My name is June Aiu (25yr) and this is my first pregnancy. I am currently 30weeks + 5 days and I plan to give birth at my workplace, MetroHealth Glick Center (Main Campus) in Cleveland, Ohio. My official due date is February 6th, 2026. My budget range is $1,200-$1,500. My birth plan includes: Vaginal birth (unless absolutely necessary to change based on emergency circumstances), being as active/mobile as possible during early labor, utilizing oral/IV push medications and breathing/meditative exercises for pain relief, avoid an epidural (if possible), utilize nitrous oxide after 7cm dilation for pain relief (if my facility has this as a treatment option), and delayed cord clamping (about 2-5min). I’d also like to keep my placenta if that’s possible. The only people I want present in the delivery room are the providers, the baby’s father, and my mother.
looking for a medicaid covered doula for birth, postpartum, and lactation support. i’m delivering at southwest general hospital
I am going to delivery in a hospital and am exploring the option of medicated versus in medicated birth. This is my first baby. I would like someone to help me advocate for choices I’ve made for me and my baby without being judged. I want the extra support and expertise. I am not sure of a budget, I am not sure what these services cost since it is my first baby. $1000?
I just want a more doula approach this time and for someone to be there to help throughout the birthing process.
This is my first pregnancy, and we are looking for an experienced doula who can help advocate during a hospital birth. We have medicaid and medical mutual, and would love a doula who accepts insurance. I don't have much of a birth plan -- I want an epidural, but I also would like to birth in positions behind just on my back.
