Danika was the most amazing midwife I could have ever asked for. She’s is so attentive and respectful, taking the time at each appointment to answer all our questions and concerns (as first time parents), never making us feel rushed or dismissed, and respecting our beliefs and wishes while also giving us all the information to help us make well informed decisions. She made us feel so comfortable and safe going through with an at home birth and was the most amazing support throughout my 22 hour labor. She was with us from the start of labor to provide support, routine checkups, positioning and location recommendations and was extremely knowledgeable throughout it all. Not to mention how she stayed for a long time after the birth for baby checkups and make sure we were settled. Her aftercare visits and ongoing support and communication following the birth were invaluable. I would recommend her to anyone doing an at home birth or who wants additional support and advocacy at the hospital.

Danika was truly amazing. She took the time to really understand me and my partner as a couple and individuals. She cared so much about our ideas of a birth plan. To this day I know if I had a question regarding my child or myself I could always ask her. I went into labor at 1:30am and I was nervous to feel I would waste anyones time if any thing fizzled out. She assured me that she was there for me and it didn’t matter if that were to happen. She was ready for me as soon as I asked her to come. She gave me space but stepped in when I needed her. She was encouraging and I’ll forever remember having her alongside me. Her choice of assistant was also very great and comforting. She really does care so much. She’s open to every family having their own beliefs. Postpartum care was very thorough, she even got cozy with me on the couch to look through birth photos. She’s never in a rush to leave. I’m so happy I chose her as my midwife for my first child and homebirth. I loved my experience and I talk about it to everyone. 10/10 would recommend her and will always use her for my future births.

I had two home births with Danika, and I am so thankful for the care she provided during both experiences, even though each birth was very different. My first birth with my son was long and incredibly tiring. Throughout the entire labor, she was calm, grounding, and such a steady emotional support for me. When things felt exhausting and overwhelming, she encouraged me and gave me practical tricks and position changes to help him progress and keep labor moving. Her knowledge and reassurance helped me push through when I needed it most. My second birth with my daughter came with some complications. She was sunny side up, and labor wasn’t progressing the way it should. Danika and her assistant worked together so confidently and calmly to help me flip her into the right position. Once she turned, my daughter came right out. In that moment, I felt completely safe and supported, and I trusted their experience fully. Her care didn’t stop after birth. Her postpartum care was amazing, and she was incredibly helpful with lactation and breastfeeding tips and tricks. She always took the time to check in, answer questions, and make sure both baby and I were truly doing well. I felt educated, advocated for, and deeply cared for through both of my births. I couldn’t recommend Danika more highly to anyone considering home birth. She is absolutely amazing and caring. I love when people ask about my home birth experiences and I get to tell them how great Danika is at what she loves to do!

Danika took us in at 32 weeks and built such a strong rapport in those last 8 weeks of pregnancy! She has such a sweet, calm, reassuring presence and makes you feel safe in the labor space. We missed her so much after our first that we got pregnant 3 months post partum just so we could see her again (jk, lol, kinda)!! But I am 28 weeks into my second pregnancy with her and couldn't imagine having anyone else as a midwife! Thanks Danika! 🙂❤️
