This is our first baby, so having a calm, supportive, and positive birth experience is especially important to us. We will be delivering at Stanford Tri-Valley and would love a doula who is familiar with the hospital and its policies. We want someone who can help us feel informed and confident, support our preferences, and provide emotional and practical guidance throughout labor. We also value someone who is reassuring, responsive, experienced, and supportive of both the mother and partner. After birth, we would appreciate guidance with recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and adjusting to life as first-time parents. Insurance provider is Alameda alliance

’m looking for a night doula and received your information through the UHC network. My partner and I are located in the Civic Center area, and we are expecting our baby in April 2027. I’m reaching out to see whether you may have availability around our due date and to learn more about your overnight-support services. In particular, could you share your typical overnight schedule, rates or package options, minimum commitment, and what is generally included during a shift? We are still determining exactly how many nights per week we will need, but are hoping to find someone who can help us get rest while offering practical newborn-care support and guidance during the early weeks. Our budget is around $1200. If you may be available, I’d love to schedule a brief introductory call to learn more about your approach and see whether we might be a fit.
Second baby, attempting vbac. Didn't have a doula with my first birth. Ended up being induced due to heart rate decelerations, labour progressed well but babe was struggling with contractions so moved to c section. I really felt like I missed out on a physiological birth, and I've been told by my OB that I'm likely a good candidate for a vbac. Currently 33 weeks, IVF pregnancy.

First baby in South San Francisco. Looking for an experienced elderly Doula. Preferably 45+. To help me three days a week with nighttime feedings. Who accepts my insurance Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal?
We are still determining the exact level of support we are looking for. We plan to give birth in a hospital in San Francisco. Our primary search is for post-birth overnight support, which would include support for the mom and care for the baby, including feeding, settling, changing, and any associated cleaning. It is important to us to get detailed updates on how the baby did overnight. We want to make sure that the person providing the support fits well into our home. We would expect we need this support 4-5 nights per week for 10-16 weeks, and would seek to get support on sleep conditioning over that period of time. We are also evaluating if a birth doula is something that we want but have not yet decided on that.
First baby, giving birth at UCSF Mission Bay in San Francisco. Looking for a birth doula to support my partner and I. Hoping to have an unmediated birth but very open to that changing depending on the circumstances. I live in the South West of SF. My husband needs to double check his work’s doula benefit so I’m not sure on our budget, happy to pay some out of pocket, but we’d like to pre-pay for our doula service, ideally in the next couple of weeks.
