My name is Reanne, This is my first baby, my biggest concern is that I have a huge fear of needles and pass out to just the thought of them. If at all possible I would love a midwife that allows me to not receive any blood work unless a sudden emergency arises that needs it done. I want a home birth, most likely a water birth and unmedicated. I want someone who will support my goals and decisions and give me the best recommenations for my plan. My budget would be 2,000 or less but it would be even better if my insurance would cover it. I am not sure exactly how far along I am as my period is very irregular, but I think I'm 9-10 weeks. I just found out last week that I was pregnant from two positive home tests. I also would love a midwife that can do ultrasounds so I could see the baby.

Hospital All covered by Medicaid Completely natural birth

I am looking for a midwife who provides evidence-based, holistic care and has a strong belief in the normal physiological process of pregnancy and birth. My preference is for a planned home birth, although I am also open to a freestanding or birth-center birth, especially as my husband is more comfortable with a hospital setting. I want prenatal care to feel safe, supportive, and educational. This is my first pregnancy, so I want as much education and preparation as possible—not only about pregnancy and birth, but also nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, supplements, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and how my husband can support me. I want a provider who takes the time to answer questions, explains the reasoning and evidence behind recommendations, and never makes me feel silly for asking something. My preference is for low-intervention care when pregnancy and labor are progressing normally. I hope for an unmedicated birth with freedom of movement, the ability to labor in water, different pushing positions, spontaneous pushing, immediate skin-to-skin, and my husband actively involved. I want a calm, private, cozy birth environment with as few unnecessary people and interruptions as possible. At the same time, I am not opposed to medical intervention when it is truly indicated or supported by good evidence. I want a midwife who is confident in physiologic birth but also medically competent, proactive about identifying potential problems, and willing to clearly tell me when something is outside the normal range and what we should do about it. Ultimately, I want someone who will help me and my husband understand our options and make informed decisions while advocating for what is safest for me and the baby. Because one of my biggest concerns about home birth is what would happen if something unexpected occurred, it is very important to me that my midwife have a clear hospital-transfer plan and be able to communicate with the hospital team and advocate for my birth preferences if a transfer becomes necessary. Ideally, I would want my midwife to remain involved during a transfer when possible. More than anything, I am looking for a midwife who is warm, honest, knowledgeable, calm, and trustworthy—someone who respects that my body was made to give birth while also putting the safety and well-being of my baby first.

20 weeks pregnant with my second child. Hoping to do a homebirth located on eastside near Lawrence. Wanting to be able to keep placenta attach for as long as possible. Trying to find a midwife that accepts Medicaid also open to a birthing center if needed.

Birth center preferred. Somewhere that accepts Tricare. I have had 2 very easy births. One at a hospital and the other at a birth center

Hi! This is our first baby and we are leaning toward a hospital birth since there are no birth centers in the area. We don't have a specific birth plan yet but want to be as natural and unmedicated as possible. Especially in a hospital setting - we don't want any of the "standard" monitoring and medicine forced on us. I am 11 weeks and seeking someone to coach us through labor and delivery prep and accompany at the birth. I look forward to hearing from you!

I’m actually not sure. I want to have a more natural birth my 1st child was a c-section but I want to try and deliver vaginally

I plan to give birth at the hospital and medicated, i’m not super sure on budget as i just started my research, i want no one in my room while giving birth other than my boyfriend/father of my child, i dont want the umbilical cord clamped until it goes white, we do not want our baby circumcised nor taken out of the room or my arms for unnecessary tests and procedures
