Hello, I’m Laporcha And Birth work was called to me after my mother passed away. In that moment, I realized she would no longer be there to comfort me, advocate for me, or welcome another child into this world by my side. She would never have the opportunity to be my doula. So, I became one. I became a birth doula for those who need to be seen and heard. For those who have lost their support systems. For those who fear they won't have the beautiful birth experience they dream of. For those whose voices have been silenced but whose hearts have so much to say. For those whose trauma feels louder than their strength. For those who struggle to advocate for themselves. And for the first-time mother who is terrified of walking into motherhood alone. I bring all of me into this work—my own birth experiences, my fears, my healing, my trauma, my gifts, my compassion, and my knowledge. Those pieces have shaped the doula I am today. My mother was the roots of our family. She was our safe place, our strength, and the one who nurtured everyone around her. Though she is no longer here physically, her love continues to grow through me. That is why I chose the name Mello Roots. I will water her legacy through every birth I attend. I will stand beside mothers the way she would have stood beside me. Every mother I support and every baby I welcome becomes another branch on a tree that continues to grow from love, resilience, and community. Peace, my name is DaVona Pacley (she/her) and I am a Certified Birth, Postpartum and Bereavement Doula located in Erie, Pennsylvania. I am also the owner of Flow Freely, a holistic wellness space offering Doula support, Reiki energy healing, and meditation services. As a Black, queer person, creating a safe, intentional, and inclusive space for all birthing folk especially my fellow Black and LGBTQIA communities is at the heart of my work. At Flow Freely, I honor the healing power of transformation. I provide guidance, support, and resources to help you feel seen, empowered, and confident in your birth journey. My approach is rooted in respect, compassion, sisterly support, and inclusive care; offering a brave space for you to grow, authentically express yourself, and feel at home within your body and your journey.

Chrissy is the owner of Northwest PA Doulas, LLC, where she works as a Family Care Coordinator, Labor & Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Certified Childbirth Educator. As a childbirth and newborn expert, Chrissy provides around-the-clock support to growing families. She begins during pregnancy, continues into the labor and delivery room, and then joins families in their home during the postpartum period. Chrissy began her career volunteering as an accredited La Leche League Leader, where she has been actively encouraging breastfeeding families in Erie since 2014. She previously served the community as Secretary of the Lake Erie Breastfeeding Coalition where she joined other lactation professionals to shine a positive light on breastfeeding. She offers her enthusiasm and passion for "all things birth and baby" to help families achieve their goals with confidence. Valuing mental health advocacy, she has co-coordinated Erie's annual Climb Out of the Darkness 5k event since 2018. This event raises funds and awareness for Maternal Mental Illnesses including postpartum depression and anxiety. Proceeds from this event have provided postpartum doula services to several local families: compassionate support so parents can heal and bond with their babies without neglecting their own needs. Chrissy enjoys attending conferences and workshops year round to keep up-to-date with the most current, evidence-based information available. She resides in Harborcreek with her loving husband and their two sons where she enjoys hiking, biking, attending concerts, and singing.

My name is Nagham and I’m a certifying brith doula in Toronto. I have been drawn to the doula world after experiencing how beautiful, fascinating, and transitional pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be. I come from a background as a wedding and event planner where I’ve helped couples navigate one of the big milestones in their lives. From my experience, I’ve developed a strong ability to advocate, a strong sense of compassion, and am able to provide a supportive shoulder and ear to help my clients as they bring their sweet babies into the world. I’m a mom to 2 wild boys and giant dog 🐶. I love exploring new places and have newly taken up running! I also rematch shows as a form of therapy, aka Friends.
