I am the owner/founder of Embracing Motherhood Doula Services, LLC. My decision to become a doula came from my own personal experience with childbirth. I have been blessed to bring three beautiful children into the world, and each birth has been a unique part of my journey. The birth of my first child was especially challenging. While I had incredible support from my husband, it was his first birth experience too, and neither of us really knew what to expect. Because of COVID, we weren't able to take a childbirth class, and looking back, I wish I had known about doulas. I would have hired one in a heartbeat. The knowledge, guidance, and support I have now would have made such a difference during that experience. That experience inspired me to become the support I wish I had. Hi there! My name is Emily and I have been "mothering the mothers" since I became pregnant with my first 5 years ago. I became a bit "birth obsessed" and couldn't get enough of reading the latest evidence. I decided to put my passion towards a new career path and pursue being a postpartum doula. I have 2 kids, a husband, a cat and dog. We love to go on adventures looking for new places and parks to visit as well as finding good local coffee and donut shops. My hobbies include baking, cooking and gardening as well as anything outdoors!
