Hello everyone, my name is Caitlin Swartz. I am a DONA International trained doula working toward my Certification with DONA. I am located in Baldwin, WI. I am the owner/founder of Embracing Motherhood Doula Services, LLC. My decision to become a doula came from my own personal experience with childbirth. I have been blessed to bring three beautiful children into the world, and each birth has been a unique part of my journey. The birth of my first child was especially challenging. While I had incredible support from my husband, it was his first birth experience too, and neither of us really knew what to expect. Because of COVID, we weren't able to take a childbirth class, and looking back, I wish I had known about doulas. I would have hired one in a heartbeat. The knowledge, guidance, and support I have now would have made such a difference during that experience. That experience inspired me to become the support I wish I had. I am passionate about helping women feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout pregnancy and birth. My goal is to provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor, helping you navigate the process with confidence. Whether it's advocating for your wishes, suggesting comfort measures, helping you move into different labor positions, or simply offering a calming presence, I want to help make your birth experience as peaceful and empowering as possible. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you welcome your little one into the world.

Birth Doula packages and pricing

Birth Doula Package

I do provide free 1 hour consults before signing of contracts to ensure we are good fit for each other. Pregnancy Support I will meet with you and your partner two times before labor to become acquainted, to explore and discuss your priorities and any fears or concerns, to discuss your birth plan and to plan how we might best work together Labor and Delivery I will then go on-call for your birth when you are 38 weeks until you give birth. I will join you at your birth location when you reach active labor. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, soothing touch, positioning and other techniques for comfort. I will remain with you for one hour after birth to make sure you are comfortable and your family is ready for some quiet bonding time together. I can also assist with initial lactation and feeding, if necessary. Postpartum Care Part of your package is that we will meet for 1 visit within a few weeks from the birth. This visit will be to decompress about the birth along with answering any questions you have about the experience, to see how you and your baby are doing, and to get feedback from you about my role.

What to expect

I provide birth doula services. I will draw on my professional training, knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and, as needed, communication with the staff to make sure that you have the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labor.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for your fees?

I currently take cash or check for payments. Although depending on your insurance you can submit for reimbursement from your HSA or FSA accounts for my fees.

Do you provide payment plans?

If my fees are what are stopping you from having a doula at your birth please reach out and we can discuss payment options.

Do you support home births?

I will help support home births as long as a medical professional such as a Midwife is also present.

What if I have a C-Section?

I do support C-Sections as well. I can join you in the OR if allowed by the hospital or sit with your partner if no one is allowed in the OR to help keep your partner calm.
