Hello and Congratulations on your new arrival! I've been a birth doula since 2018 through the organization DONA. Every birth I have assisted with has been a beautiful and a learning experience for me. I feel blessed to be a part of this special moment in the lives of my clients. My practice provides you and your partner with continuous emotional and physical support. You are in charge, but a doula can assist with you staying in charge, especially in a hospital setting. Birth Doula Services

2 prenantal meetings; 24/7 on call for 2 weeks prior to birth; text, phone, email support anytime; hands on birth support, emotional and physical; 1 postnatal meeting

$900 USD · Flat rate

Postpartum Doula Services

As a postpartum doula, I can come to your home and provide a variety of support services. I can assist with breastfeeding, sibling care, light housekeeping or meal services. I will also do overnight care of the infant so parents can get a better night's sleep.

$30 USD · Per hour

What to expect

As a birth doula, I will meet with you two times prior to birth. The first meeting is to get to know you and your family, and discuss birth plan choices. The second meeting we will practice some of the comfort measures that I can assist with and ones that can be done on your own. We will come up with a plan of action for the big day. The two week before your guess date, I will keep my schedule clear to be available as soon as needed. Once that time comes, I will stay the whole time and guide you through your birth experience. I can take pictures or videos per your request also. I will stay only an hour or so after the birth, that way you can start your important bonding time. After a week or so at home, I will come to visit to see how things are going, I can provide tips and additional support as needed concerning both you and the new arrival. I also provide a write up of the birth day from my notes to give to you.

Rhonda is a kind, sincere person with a true passion to help moms have a great experience of birth based on the mom’s hopes and preferences. She fit into the dynamic of my husband and I very well and made my husband so grateful to have a doula, and of course I was so thankful both of our births to have Rhonda with us.

Rhonda was a fantastic team member addition for my husband and I with our second birth experience following a first traumatic birth without a doula. She allowed me to have a healing, peaceful, happy birth and served to guide us at important points for us in the birth journey for preferred holistic comfort measures, another person in the room who cared about my Spinning Babies/hypnobirthing/prayerful birthing style, and supported us in our belief that pregnancy is a normal, healthy process- not a disease to be treated, haha, and birth can be joyful. She helped me find important resources ahead of time with books and listens well to us now in our third pregnancy about what matters to us (Spinning Babies is a great example of this- she takes this seriously that I want to rely heavily on this and is doing her homework alongside me, it is comforting to have someone do this alongside me). Rhonda is gentle, confident, caring, and genuine in her care for you. She truly wants to make your birth experience to the absolute best possible. As we live about an hour from her and I have fast labors, I initially was nervous about this but she was so prompt and responsive and came immediately at first signs of labor that my trust for her is very high even with a bit of distance involved. Highly recommend Rhonda to be a part of your best birth!

Can I use my medical flex account for services?

Yes, I would provide you a receipt for documentation.

Have you ever had a home birth? Are you willing to be at one?

One of my clients was prepared for a home birth, and she labored there with me and her midwife for over 12 hours. We then ended up going to the hospital for the birth and everything turned out fine. I am very comfortable in a home birth setting with your selected midwife.

Why would I need a doula if I have my partner?

When you have a doula, we become part of a team with you and your partner. I don't take away from anything your partner might do, but hopefully I can guide them to be a better participant in the birth. Partners have always been very appreciative of the services I provided and how they were included.
