I’m planning to deliver at NY Presbyterian 168th Street. Our budget is up to $2,000. It’s important for me to deliver naturally without epidural. I want the optimal cord clamping, skin-to-skin, no vit K, no eye ointments, no vaccines right after birth. I would like to change positions during labor. I would like the doula to instruct me on breathing techniques before I go into labor and also see us after I give birth to show the basics of a newborn care. I’m 34 years old, speak English and Polish. My husband is 36 and of Caribbean descent.

I am looking for postpartum doula care. I would like help with newborn care, meals, light housework.

I would like to stay flexible while aiming for as low-intervention of a birth as safely possible. Pain management options are still being considered, and I value education, informed decision-making, movement/position support during labor, partner involvement, and postpartum recovery guidance. This is my first baby (a girl, due September 2026), and I would especially appreciate support navigating labor, hospital communication, breastfeeding initiation, and the immediate postpartum period. - Certified doula preferred Experience supporting first-time mothers and hospital births Familiarity with gestational diabetes/pregnancy monitoring preferred Calm, reassuring, collaborative communication style Comfortable working alongside medical providers and advocating respectfully 3+ years of experience preferred, but personality fit is also very important Bonus if familiar with South Asian/Indian family dynamics or cultural considerations

I’m giving birth in a hospital due to my pre-existing Type 1 diabetes (so far no complications but I want to be prepared in case intervention is needed for me or baby). However I’d like to deliver natural and unmedicated if possible so hoping to learn more about the process and tools I can use to make that happen
