Service introduction

I am a traditional birth doula and birth photographer, which means m alliance is to the mothers I serve only- not a “certifying agency”. I believe all choices surrounding birth are that of the mother’s and that she holds the authority of her body and her birth. I believe women deserve to have a peaceful and empowering birth experience, regardless of where they choose to birth.

My focus is building a relationship of trust with you before we step into the birth together. I am available to families for text/ phone support through pregnancy and planned in person visits to discuss birth hopes, fears, and build our trust. I go on call beginning at 36 weeks until delivery. If preterm labor begins I will do my absolute best to be there for you.

Frequently asked questions

What does pregnancy look like with you?

Pregnancy is a time for relationship building. I want to know you well, so that I can support and love you well. I offer resources for education, listening ears and a joyful heart. This involves communicating clearly with one another, sharing expectations and dreaming up your most ideal birth. I want to help you dig deep into your intuition, guiding you to be the sole authority over your experience. Prenatally this looks like getting together once a month to build that relationship, go over any fears, prepare, plan and dream together.

What will birth support look like?

As soon as you are having any signs of labor I would like to know. From there you can send me updates and ask me to be present with you whenever you desire my in-person support. With the foundation of the relationship we built through your pregnancy, knowing what you desire, I will support you through your labor. This can be me giving physical body support, through counter pressure and massage, helping set up your space, giving you food and hydration, whispering scripture and encouragement, helping your husband aid you if need be, taking pictures and video if desired and writing down time stamps for journaling purposes. I can be still, observe, hold the space, full of love and trust, reading the room to meet needs unspoken.

What if you miss the birth?

I will do everything in my power to make your birth or provide a back up doula with a similar birth support philosophy. If you fail to contact me and I miss the birth there is no refund. If I am at fault for missing the birth a partial refund will be given or postpartum or photography can be offered. This does not include precipitous labor.

Do you have time limits on your services during labor?

Birth can be quick or it can take days. I will do my best to stay with you until you have your baby, but I ask that you be open to breaks for me to step away to recoup to best serve you in instances where active labor exceeds 12 hours.
