About me

I’m Erica Castillo a full-spectrum doula, body literacy educator, and folk herbalist walking the path toward becoming a home birth midwife. I offer culturally rooted care across the reproductive spectrum, including birth, postpartum, fertility, menstruation, and reproductive health support. My practice weaves together ancestral knowledge and contemporary support, grounded in the traditional healing ways of my African and Taíno ancestors. In many traditions, midwives were more than just birth attendants, they were community healers, herbalists, bodyworkers, and spiritual guides. That legacy shapes how I show up in this work: with reverence, skill, and a deep commitment to care that uplifts the whole person. For the last 8 years, I’ve supported families with a blend of intuition, evidence-based tools, and heart. I provide full-spectrum, culturally rooted care across the reproductive journey, including support for birth, postpartum, fertility, abortion, loss, and menstrual health. My offerings include birth doula support, daytime and overnight postpartum care, body literacy education, and traditional practices like belly binding and herbal support.

Birth Doula Package
-Individually tailored support based on your needs -Interview/ first 1 hour meeting (complimentary; before hire) -Continuous phone, text, and email support throughout pregnancy until 2 weeks postpartum -2-3 prenatal meetings (educational support + resources) -Assistance in creating a birth preferences list -On call birth support 24/7 from the 38th week of pregnancy until end of pregnancy -Full attendance of birth -initial bodyfeeding support after birth *optional -Phone support in the first 6weeks following birth -1 Postpartum Visit (2 hours) within the first 2 weeks after birth where we review your birth story, do an herbal bath, pelvic steam, and belly bind if applicable
