About Erin

Erin is a lactation consultant, IBCLC, and childbirth educator, LCCE, with nearly 20 years supporting growing families. Erin is passionate about empowering families beginning during pregnancy and continuing throughout the first year and beyond. Erin uses evidence based practices to educate and encourage families to set goals related to birth and feeding their babies. When Erin isn’t supporting other families, she’s usually at some sort of sporting event or outdoor activity with her husband and three kids, ages 17, 13 and 9.

Prenatal breastfeeding consultation

This 90 minute consultation is available for families interested in preparing to feed their babies. Personal feeding goals discussed and education given to best support plan. Consultation available in office or in home. Travel fee applies to home consultations. ($25-$100) Often insurance covers the cost of the visit. Initial Lactation Consultation

This 90 minutes consultation is client focused to address questions or concerns related to feeding your baby. A personalized feeding plan will be established based on family’s feeding goals. Office and in-home visits available. Travel fee applies to home visits ($25-$100). We work with all types of insurance and payment options to assure access to affordable lactation care. Breastfeeding Class

Join a group of expecting families to learn about evidence based practices that support breastfeeding as the optimal infant feeding choice. This interactive course is designed to educate and empower parents to feed their babies. Support person always welcome. Contact Erin for scholarship information.

What to expect

Erin provides lactation support through The Breastfeeding Center of Roanoke. We are in-network with a number of insurance providers and our list continues to grow. Our mission is to provide professional lactation support regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay. We want you to focus on caring for your baby and we’ll take care of you. Childbirth education, prenatal consultations and breastfeeding classes also available to expecting families.
