Birth is a beautiful time for support and connection, and the loving care you receive from your support team is a transformative way to begin the new phase of life that your baby is starting! I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the Corvallis area. I also have my Traditional Healthcare Worker certification and am a member of the Community Doula Program and will be able to bill Medicaid by the end of March. I am nonbinary and welcome trans and gender non-conforming clients and families. I have two young children and have lived experience with prematurity, NICU stays, and pregnancy loss. I have experienced several different birthing situations. Additionally I have personal experience and experience working as a doula for several infants who struggle to feed and gain weight. ​ I grew up in Corvallis and feel deeply connected to the community here. I worked in early childhood education for several years after graduating from UO while also moving around the country, enjoying spending time in both San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX. Both of those cities also allowed me to pursue modern dance which I’ve enjoyed since I was a child! Dancing, yoga, and movement are a huge part of who I am and there’s a deep connect for me between movement and birth work. I find joy, peace, and belonging in movement, building community and sharing the things I love with my children.

Hello, friend! My name is Josie and I have been a Birth Doula since 2019. My goal as your Doula is to help you have the most satisfying birth experience possible by supporting you physically, emotionally, and educationally. As your Doula I will help you advocate for yourself so that you feel both seen and heard by the medical staff, I will help support you physically as you progress in labor, and I will be there as an encouragement and champion for you and your partner throughout your journey. I love pampering women in labor, but I'm also there to be a Doula to the partner/spouse because we all know it's a team effort. My goal is never to replace your labor support, but rather add to, direct, and encourage them. I love to craft, make jokes, cuddle my toddler when he lets me, read books, and wander throughout Oregon’s woods and coastlines. Hello, my name is Alyx Cucci and I am a certified birthworker living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have personally experienced a hospital birth, a birth center birth as well as a home birth and although they were all exceptionally different I loved each of them equally. As a birthworker I am a firm believer in the magic that is created by a birthing person and their partner during the entirety of the birth process. I am always grateful to be chosen as a witness to these extraordinary experiences and my ultimate hope is that I am more of a witness than anything else. I work hard to educate and empower a couple before the arrival of their baby so when the time comes, they are able to confidently and comfortably take control of their birth with me their merely as an extra set of hands when needed or sometimes to simply hold space. I also believe that there is a birthworker for everyone. We are not one size fits all and neither are you. And….THATS OKAY. I love chatting with potential clients and seeing if we are a match. Most often we are, and sometimes we are not. Childbirth can make women feel vulnerable and unsure. They need somebody they can completely trust and open up to. Somebody they can feel vulnerable and unsure with. And let’s be honest, sometimes we just done jive with others. I want potential clients to understand that I am just one type of doula. I am open and honest and blunt. I believe in this magic down in the deepest parts of my soul. Hello, I’m Stormy McKinney, a birth doula serving families in Oregon. Supporting birthing people is more than a career for me—it’s a calling shaped by my own experiences, my heart for caregiving, and my deep belief that no one should ever feel alone during birth. My journey into birth work began after having two difficult birth experiences of my own. I didn’t have the support I needed, and I carried that feeling of being unheard and overwhelmed for a long time. Later, I spent years caring for my grandmother, and although I loved being there for her, after she passed I knew I wanted to help people in a different way. When I discovered what doulas do, something clicked. I realized I wanted to be the person I never had—someone who advocates, comforts, and helps birthing people relax into their own strength. I completed my Birth Doula and Postpartum care Training with Doula Love LLC in Portland, OR continued my education with additional training in trauma-informed care, oral health, cultural competency, CPR for adults/children/infants (for nurses), and basic lactation support. My approach is grounded in compassion, kindness, and a genuine desire to help families feel safe, informed, and supported. I’m a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I have ADHD, so every now and then I get a burst of energy—usually in a fun, optimistic way. I’m also disabled and live with POTS, but it doesn’t stop me from showing up fully for the families I support. I’m a young doula at 25, a mom of two, an animal lover, I love waterfalls, and a bit of a video-game nerd, Anima is a big part of my time. All of these pieces of me shape the warmth and understanding I bring into my work. I believe birth should feel supported, respected, and never lonely. Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer and I am a birth doula and Childbirth educator. I am also a bodywork specialist who does energy work. I am trained in Reiki and reflexology and while I was in massage school I took classes in pregnancy massage and labor massage. As a birth worker my passion is to help in the bonding of the family no matter what your family looks like if it is just mother and baby, partner, spouse, or even a family member I am there to help you find your voice and ease your journey as it plays out. Sometimes we want to think we can control what our birth will look like but the little bundle inside doesn't always listen and so I want to be there to help everyone involved reach the goal. My main passion is in continuous care. I left the nursing world after seeing the effects it had on laboring women and families having to build that rapport with the care team each appointment, shift changes and I did not like that. I want to be there with your family from start to finish, one less thing to worry about and one more thing to gain comfort in.
