Soulex the Doula has been incredible in mine and my child’s life. I wanted to leave a shining review but struggled even capturing the positive impact of my time with Soulex the Doula, in words. I really hope I do justice to what this time meant to me. Alexus post-partum doula support was life altering in the most vulnerable time I’ve ever experienced. I’ve had 2 children and only worked with Lex with my first born. Let me just say, her energy was deeply missed the second time around. I live in a different state now but at the time, Lex did SO MUCH. She helped with nursing, even in the middle of the night for my exclusively breast fed baby, she would stay over to make sure I had the most restful night I could. The baby would wake, and Lex would wake pick her up and latch her to my nipple while I rest, leaving me virtually undisturbed. Lex changed night diapers, and would rock my daughter back to sleep while I slept. During the day visits, Lex would take care of baby while I got time for ME. I could shower, get ready, and feel beautiful in such a strange time. Lex gave me support with getting back in connection with my body through movement with dance and stretching practices. I would have NEVER known this was meaningful work, otherwise. Lex also gave a lot of spiritual guidance and support as a medium while I was personally going through the shifts from new motherhood. She would clean my home, help me organize, or rearrange on a whim. It was nothing short of magical, and genuinely felt like I had a little fairy god mother around the house doing things without me even having to think about it - let alone lift a finger. The bond I watched her grow with my daughter at 4 months old was incredibly special. And now, as a 7 year old, they still stay in touch. We love you, Lex and you really feel like a part of the family for life. Thank you for you’re love, your care, your intention, your intuition, and your raw passion for what you do. As a first time mom, I knew I wanted to have a natural birth without an epidural. Since this was my first pregnancy, my husband suggested we work with a doula. Being fairly new to Georgia, we didn’t know where to start. But thankfully, a close friend of mine who is a nurse highly recommended Mrs. Patmon. I am so grateful she did. Mrs. Patmon is incredibly patient, passionate, and knowledgeable about what she does. She comes from a strong background in doula care and offers a holistic approach, always respecting her clients preferences. She made herself available to me at any time day or night which gave me so much peace of mind throughout my pregnancy. She helped me create a detailed birth plan and supported me every step of the way in carrying it out. During my third trimester, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and she guided me through it as best as possible. She also offers teas, oils, massages, exercises, stretches, and so many helpful techniques to prepare my body for a natural labor. When I went into labor, Mrs. Patmon showed up fully prepared and ready to support me. She made sure my medical team had my birth plan and advocated for my wishes throughout the process. During contractions, she provided hands on support with massages and used special oils that helped intensify my contractions and progress labor more quickly than I expected. I arrived at 4 cm dilated, 70% effaced, and -2 station and in less than four hours, I was pushing. My experience with Mrs. Patmon was nothing short of amazing. She played such a vital role in making my first labor and delivery a positive and empowering experience. If you’re looking for a doula, look no further Mrs. Patmon is the one you want by your side. A message for Mrs. Patmon… I truly don’t think I could have made it through labor and delivery the way I did without your guidance, wisdom, and steady support. She’s more like a sister and I’m is so accommodating and real. Enjoyed my experience with her. We planned a home birth but it was my first pregnancy and 72 hours of labor so I transferred to hospital. But even then it wasn’t THAT bad. She encapsulated my placenta as well and made me a tincture, so she picked my placenta up swiftly! I would recommend her to anyone! However it’s worth saying she had one thing to note is although she’s very nurturing and innerstanding and has ALOT of outside and inside help and support from mentors and those with children. She doesn’t have children herself so I felt a slight disconnect with my first delivery because I wasn’t sure what to do and she couldn’t coach me through that aspect but other than that I’d 10 out 10 recommend.
