I am looking for a midwife and a doula who accept MediCal insurance and can support me throughout my first pregnancy and birth. My goal is to have a low-intervention, unmedicated labor, with guidance and support every step of the way. I haven’t decided if I will have a home birth and I would like to labor at home for as long as possible if a hospital birth becomes necessary or is the best option. I want a care team that will support my birth preferences and help me achieve the most natural, intervention-free experience possible.

I am planning to use my insurance at Kaiser for my scans up through the third trimester, and mainly want the midwife and possible doula team for delivery. I imagine visiting with them beforehand, but relying on my insurance for everything else leading up to delivery.
