About Fereshteh

I’m a DONA International Certified Birth Doula, certified in the United States, with a Master’s degree in Midwifery Counseling and 35 years of professional midwifery experience in Iran. I also have 14 years of experience as a doula and childbirth education instructor in Iran. My extensive background supporting women through pregnancy, labor, and birth allows me to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, and individualized doula support to families in California. My philosophy is to help each mother feel informed, confident, respected, and supported throughout her birth experience. I provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support while honoring each family’s preferences, values, and birth choices. I speak both English and Persian (Farsi), and I am passionate about helping families feel safe, empowered, and cared for throughout their birth journey.

What is your experience and background?

Answer: I have 35 years of experience as a midwife and 14 years as a childbirth educator and birth & postpartum doula in my home country. what inspired you to become a doula?

After years of working and gaining experience alongside mothers and families, I realized that a mother's most important need is to have a trusted and knowledgeable support person by her side. That is what inspired me to become a doula. My goal is to help mothers feel safe, calm, heard, and empowered, and to leave them with a beautiful memory of their birth. بعد از سال‌ها کار و تجربه در کنار مادرها و خانواده‌هایشان، متوجه شدم که مهمترین نیاز یک مادر، داشتن یک حامی قابل اعتماد و آگاه در کنارش است. همین باعث شد دولا شوم. هدف من این است که مادرها احساس امنیت، آرامش، شنیده شدن و توانمندی داشته باشند و خاطره‌ای زیبا از زایمان برایشان به جا بگذارم.

What are your fees and do you accept insurance?

I am currently in the process of contracting with Medi-Cal and other insurances, and I can provide an invoice / superbill for possible reimbursement. My fees depend on the package you choose, and I collect 30% in advance to reserve your due date. در حال بستن قرارداد با بیمه مدیکال و سایر بیمه ها هستم و میتوانم فاکتور ارائه دهم تا از بیمه دریافت کنید. هزینه بستگی به پکیج انتخابی شما دارد و من ۳۰ درصد قرارداد را به منظور رزرو تاریخ زایمان پیشاپیش دریافت میکنم.
