looking for a doula to assist an unmedicated hospital birth for day of birth.

I'm planning on a Hospital birth. I'm not sure how much doulas cost. I would like to have a natural birth. Last time I was terrified of having an C-section so I compromised with unnatural things and I don't want to do that this time. This will be my second birth.

I am really wanted someone that can give me insight and help on achieving one of my biggest goals of going fully unmediated. I have thought about doing a home birth as I will feel more comfortable but I worry about if something goes wrong or do I go to the hospital after I give birth? I have also thought about making a birth plan and finding a hospital that won’t come in and question me 24/7 or give any pushback when I or my husband says no to something. We are hoping to go through insurance but if not possible then can talk about budget.

Hey! So I'm planning my 3rd birth. The first was an emergency c- section and the second also a c-section, 4yrs ago. I had a very unsupportive/hands off midwife previously. I've found an amazing midwife this time and am planning a VBAC. Currently planning a birthing center birth (birthing center is in Bastrop Texas) but considering homebirth.. I'm not supper stuck on a particular bith plan. My goal is a healthy baby and a bit of redemption from my previous births that didn't go the way I planned at all. I'm a Christian, mildly crunchy farm mom who just wants a calm, peaceful birth resulting in a healthy baby and minimal trauma! 😅 I'm looking for a support person to remind me I am capable and keep me focused. I had post partum depression last time so some postpartum support may be good for me, although I have more family support this time too! We don't have insurance. I don't know what a doula costs typically, that's part of why I'm reaching out, to see if this could be an option for us. Thanks!!

Planning to give birth at Southdale Hospital. I'll be using state insurance with medica and my insurance will only cover services for doulas in Fairview Health or Allina Network. I would love a labor and postpartum doula.

I plan to birth at home for as long as I can then go to hospital. My first son I was induced at 39 weeks and that day was so long, stressful, miserable. My second came so fast, almost gave birth on the way. Just at 37 weeks. I want my experience to be more spiritual maybe is the right word? I’ve read and seen many wonderful sensual beautiful experiences, peaceful, and I absolutely dream of something like that. And someone that can help my partner actually get involved during the process instead of sleeping LOL. I have UCARE Medicare so I’m not sure if it can be covered or how that works

I've always wanted to have my babies naturally with little to no pain medication, IV or laughing gas would be as far as I would go. I do not want to labor or give birth in a hospital unless I have no other choice, if things take a turn I have a doctor at Mercy hospital. Our estimated budget would probably be 1.5k-2.k overall. We're a young couple starting out in a new town, we're starting to get back on our feet and we were not expecting to have a little one so soon. I want a water birth with low lighting, calming music and an aroma im familiar with, one doula and at least one to two midwives, my husband will be there and as for extras that is yet to be decided. I would also like either a foam mat low to the ground or a bed to get on if we need a change from the pool/tub. Yoga balls and all the fixings. Basically whatever I need to have a safe, smooth and calm birth, that'll be cheaper and less stressful than a hospital stay. Thank you!

I plan to give birth in the hospital. My estimated budget is about $200-$300. My birth plan is to labor for a bit at home before going to the hospital because I progress quickly. I’d like to labor in a tub, move around, and use a peanut ball to encourage dilation. I’d also like breathing techniques and emotional support and visualization/meditative techniques.

Hi Kayla! I'm a mom of 6 - we recently had our second set of twins, 5 weeks old. I'm wondering what type of post-delivery care you provide? As it was with my first set of twins, I'm finding it difficult to meet all of the babies' newborn needs (being held while I breastfeed one, holding or soothing to sleep, etc) while managing my own needs (food and water, haha!). I think we just need some help for a few weeks during the day while my husband is at work. Is this something you do?

I plan on giving birth in a hospital. I really want someone to advocate for me. Budget could be around 800 My birth plan is to try and be as natural as possible. To be able to let my body do what’s necessary for baby to come earth side. I dont want any medical intervention unless its an emergency. I dont want to push on my back and I want to breath my baby out without couched pushing. I want my husband to be my rock and look after me with you on my side working with him.
