I am planning to birth at home. We have a midwife. We’re hoping that my insurance will cover the doula. I know I want to reduce possibility of tearing, so we have decided on a water birth or pushing on the side.

I would like to preferably have a home birth experience. I have wanted to do this my whole life. I am so excited to find someone who will help me get exactly what I need with my experience and also walk me through it. I don’t really have a budget but I saw online it can be around 10,000 so hopefully not over that but we are flexible. I have a birth plan guideline I can send you but basically I want no vaccines for me or my baby. I can send you the breakdown of my birth plan as well!

I plan to give birth at a birth center in Humble, TX. Since I am a first time VBAC, I am required to hire a doula until the birth. My income and budget is very limited as I am the sole provider for 4 in my household, and now have to pay out of pocket for the birth center until my insurance can reimburse me part of it only after the birth. I am also catching up on my mortgage as I started a new job after losing my job last year. My birth plan is for the birth to be completely intervention free unless absolutely necessary, as I had a horrible experience at Citizens medical center that ended in an emergency C-Section. My budget would be as low as possible, with $600-$800 the most I can afford and $800 would be pushing it a bit.

Hi I’m reaching out because my over the phone OB said you are a doula that my Medicade will sponsor? I’m just trying to see if this is accurate. I’m wanting emotional and physical support before, during and after baby is born. This is my first child and would like another advocate that will help me through the process and will stand on business with these nurses.
